Wow, the last time I drove through Tucson was in 1986....spent time at Old Tucson and the Sonoran Desert Museum.

Sure has changed since I lived there nine years ago, but not much.  I still remember the traffic hell caused by those lane additions back in the early-mid 2000s.  You'd spend an hour or more getting from Mirana to 22nd.

very nice. i worked construction on some on this, driving a truck, on I-10 between Picacho Peak and Airpark Rd.
  • @Freewayjim
Nice work on your part and on ADOT''s part regarding the project. I liked how you showed it in both directions, nice touch.

motorcycle weaving in & out of traffic at 4:00 is cool, keep watching him as he keeps going way down the road.

Ahh, finally. Another Arizona video worth watching thanks to our freeway system and widening experts. Indubitably well done...
  • Driving on the I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson can be a bit confusing. It’s a east and west freeway but between those to cities it goes north/south lol

I Always Enjoy driving through Arizona on my way to Los Angeles,CA from Houston TX

They are now making two more interchanges and widening the interstate to8 lanes all the way to tangerine.
  • Much love to the video. They really need to make I-10 (3) Lanes from Kolb Rd. to Kino Parkway.

I drive these roads ALL the time!!!! Was looking at some of these cause I want to do some of these myself, I own a delivery business now for car batteries and drive ALL over phoenix and often make recordings (mostly for my own safety in case of accident) - was surprised the first one i clicked on was a place im familiar with!!! What software do you use to speed it up, and to record?
  • @FreewayBrent
lol @ the MGM lion making a come back in a big way. Great video, Brian. The old construction zone was definitely no fun at all. I never even got a chance to see I-10 in its pre-construction form, but drove it on 4 separate occasions during the whole construction mess. Yes, the new I-10 looks great. It's interesting how this freeway peaks at 180,000 vehicles per day, even though the vast majority of the city lies north (and sometimes far north) of I-10.

Tucson seems to be more calmer than its brother Phoenix. Are you planning any vids on I-19 or I-8 in the Yuma area?
  • @Marraudor
Yes but other then that, u have there is nothing else to see unless you fly for one day, I live in belgium, 4 hours drive to go skiiing in the winter, 7 hours drive to see the plitvice lakes in sunny croatia, 10 hours drive to see rome and 10 hours drive from cannes to see supercars. I mean, we just have it all..

I'm traveling east to Missouri and instead of taking the undivided 60 East out of the state of Arizona I'm going to use much safer I-10 to I-25 north to I-40 East to Missouri. They tell me 60 East is faster by a couple of hours or less which I will challenge because I feel that a constant rate of speed on a Designated freeway is more important to me. Also safety comes first in my life. Thanks for the video.
  • @JBebop84
Adot needs to expand the east side to three lanes each direction . Traffic gets backed up so bad . From vail to kino would be nice .

Now for them to do an actual "through town" Loop.... I am tired of crowded surface streets just to get to one side of town to the other....
