Kenya has a long history with the Indian community. Today, Indians are one of the most popular minority groups in Kenya. This video explores the history and current treatment of the Indian community in Kenya.

Kenya is a country in East Africa with coastline on the Indian Ocean. It encompasses savannah, lakelands, the dramatic Great Rift Valley and mountain highlands. It's also home to wildlife like lions, elephants and rhinos. From Nairobi, the capital, safaris visit the Maasai Mara Reserve, known for its annual wildebeest migrations, and Amboseli National Park, offering views of Tanzania's 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Kenya has the second largest Indian community in Africa, after South Africa. In 2015, there were around 100,000 Indians in Kenya, which is 0.3% of the total population. The majority of Indians live in the major urban areas of Nairobi and Mombasa, with a minority living in rural areas. if you enjoyed content, kindly hit that like πŸ‘ button and subscribe. Indian community in Uganda was so racist to locals unfortunately our president idi Amin deported all of them some relocated to Kenya from what iread about and we are proud of idi Amin we dont deal with this segregation here❀
  • If you are going to be doing how indians are treated in Kenya.. also do how indians treat local Kenyans . Thank you.

I was born in Kenya and moved to the USA decades ago. My heart is still in Kenya. My grandparents migrated from Punjab India to Kenya in the 1930s. I love your blogs, Kenya has done so well. What a beautiful country, with friendly people, great cuisine, fantastic weather, beautiful landscapes, and wildlife, There is no land that comes close to Kenya.

That’s amazing to me that, people that are not indigenous to a place can come there, and then not allow the indigenous people into their communities pretty sick

You can't enter any gated community in Kenya without an appointment, it doesn't matter it's native Kenyans, whites or indians. But as as a Kenyan I don't like these kenyan indians because they think they're better than us.
  • My Africans folks are forever always welcoming people that hate them or are their to exploit them in their countries 😒. #AfricaWakeUp
  • @biss145
This black girl is rude. Someone tells you that his great grandfather is born in Kenya and you still asking him question as he is not Kenyan. You are the ones pushing them to live in community because of such resentment.

Kenyans are very tolerant people, even politically finally Kikuyus and Luos have learnt to live together, i think most Kenyans don't like Indians in general but neither do Indians like us. But we get along since we don't have a bad history compared to with European or among ourselves. Humans have the same problems world wide.

A lot of Indians came to African countries for work during British colonization. When they were no longer needed, the British didn't pay for their fares back to India as they had promised. So many Indians just stayed because they didn't have money to go back to India. Indians from that time are found in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and South Africa. Many have become citizens of these African countries. Also, there are Christians in India, Catholics and Protestants, they are religous minorities (2.3%) but they are there. The apostle Thomas is known to have gone to India to share the gospel there.
  • I have managed to resist my attempt to make an objective comment on this vide bcos my thoughts will be very unpreasant to your audiences and the people of Kenya and Afica at large. Is this housing estate exclusive to Indians really happening in Africa? How can this happen on Black African soil with Black African leaders who are mandated to protect the human rights of its citizens across the African continent.
  • @sarfinalove3947
I have a big big problem the Black kenyans are not allowed to live in the same neighborhood with the Indians. How can the leaders, president allowed that to happen. So in other words there is segregation and racism in Kenya. why would black people from the Caribbean, Europe, America or any other parts of the world want to reside in Kenya other such racist conditions, if people can't live as one in Kenya. Can black people go to India and tell the natives that they are not allowed to live amongst them. NO. This is extremely upsetting and need to change. I was planning to relocate to Kenya but I would be damn if I would go there to invest my money and live under such racism and segregation. WHY the hell as a black person, my ancestors are from Africa relocate to Kenya to live as a second class citizen. That's friggin NONSENSE!!!
  • @sgnjenga
Just know that the UK prime minister, Rishi Sunak, is an East African (father born in Kenya & mother in Tanzania). He should be proud to embrace his African heritage.
  • @martino6205
Kenya is a settler colony. Lots of people were brought in from other parts of the world. UK prime minister is Kenyan origin. There are similar housing places in smaller towns like Kerugoya and Meru. Those in these closed places are mostly from the Swaminarayan/ kutchi background. Muslim Indians and Sikhs rarely segregate themselves
  • @Realmakos
These people are proud and hateful towards locals Africans. I'm a Kenyan I know. Majority not all though hardly interact with the locals.. We've over privileged them.
  • The most racist group of people in Kenya. Kenyans are friendly by nature, but they can always spot racial and class discrimination, and unwillingness to assimilate. That's a fact. An Indian will leave you out of a promotion to give it to an Indian relative from India who you have taught on the job, pay them better than natives. On a positive note, Indians have consolidated their investments and have made it possible for most of Kenya to industrialized, that means jobs.
  • @moriti411
A lot of those Indians there in Kenya are those that were kicked out of Uganda by Idi Amin, or their descendants.
  • @flipptripz1067
DUDE IS TRIPPING!! YOU SHOULD BE DOING A STORY ABOUT HOW INDIANS TREAT KEYANS LIKE SLAVES !!I KNOW WHY YOUR DOING THIS FOR INDIAN CLICKS BUT JUST GO AROUND KENYA AND ASK PEOPLE WHO WORKED FOR INDIANS AND HOW THEY WERE TREATED
  • @user-vd4yy1lp8p
