  • Which camera body do you aspire to own someday , and why? I'm always looking for information on my viewers to make relevant videos!
  • @cnna12392
The R8 is worth every penny. Also, I’m 6’4 with extremely large hands and I have zero problems with the size of the camera. I guess some people just want to carry around a 40 inch flat screen or something.
  • I was just gifted one for my birthday!!! I’ve been using it and absolutely LOVE! Learning so much from your content, thank you!
  • @NoDoSwLa
I've pre-ordered one in february and received it pretty early. Got almost 2k shots with it by now and learning something new every day. All my lenses are stabilized and since I have no comparison, I don't miss anything. Like the ibis. I'm getting addicted more and more and it's wonderful. Very happy with the cam and I know that the cam is capable and now its on me to get the good shots! As always: You videos help me a lot Simon. Thanks for that.
  • @KingGuddles
It's amazing in how under a year you have become one of the best photography resources on youtube. I don't even do wildlife photography but I have learned so much from your videos and you are a natural teacher.
  • @nicks8484
Just bought myself an r8 with two rf lenses and im in love with the photos i took of my animals and its only been a day. Cant wait to travel with it. Love the review!
  • @geowidman
VERY worthwhile, informative review! I wish other reviewers could be even half as good. Great job!
  • @DrLoneyDal
Great balanced and practical camera review, Simon - just like your wildlife technique videos. You’re the best. Enjoy your safari. Looking forward to seeing your photos from that excursion.
  • @ianluyten1210
Great video ! 3 things make me consider the R6 Mk2: I have some older EF lenses without stabilisation (200mm f/2.8L), so IBIS is much appreciated. Also I like that on the R6 Mk2 the sensor is protected when the camera is turned off. And last: the 12 fps mechanical shutter ...
  • @hodghe
Simon, this was a great review of the camera. Most "haters" will mention the lack of IBIS, short battery life etc. and they just want the best for the lowest price possible. We all know this is not the case. This is a good upgrade from a cropped sensor camera like I am thinking now. For non professional photographers I see this camera as an excellent option.
  • Your videos are the best Simon. Super packed with information. Cheers!
  • This camera is for people like me. I don’t get paid to take photos, but I’m an enthusiast who likes to take the best possible photos (especially landscapes). But I’m also on a budget and can’t justify a $2k or more purchase. I just finished a mountain trip with my new R8 and I was very pleased with the results. This camera opened up new photo opportunities for me without costing too much. Now I just need a better lens…

There’s no one like you in YouTube. Master; you just kick a…….! What a blessing learning from you! Now Im pondering to return to Canon. That’s what we use at AFN!
  • Great video. Always a treat when you review equipment. Can’t think of anyone I’d rather hear it from. I love compact mirrorless bodies as I hike for many miles on weekend mornings searching for anything from owls to butterflies. I personally use Sony. No particular reason why. I like their apsc cameras a lot. This one looks awesome! Wish Sony would take some notes from canon sometimes. Sony has been rather lazy lately.
  • @RipeOldBanana
Your approach provides a valuable insight. Almost seems like being right there as you shoot. Thank you for an honest and practical demonstration.
  • @KasK6517
I just bought a EOS RP for my first camera, pretty excited to use it on my trip to Montana. I'm new to photography and still learning how to use my camera properly, your videos have helped me so much and for that, I thank you.
  • Thanks for another great video, just back from a short trip to northern Denmark (holiday, but did manage to do some photography). Thanks to your videos and tips I managed to get some shots I'm very satisfied with!
  • @ardscorner
Another very detailed video....but presented in a way both advanced and beginner can understand and learn from. Well done on your colabaration. The course will be money very well spent.
  • @jeffklpo
Great video Simon, Thanks for the information and congrats on the new course !!
  • Great product review. Generally one gets get the features and performance they pay for. I like how you show the advantages and disadvantages of each design decision Canon made. For example a smaller battery or the shutter mechanism. Budget dictates what you can get in a camera so being practical about what you get is helpful. What is really interesting is that the door to wildlife photography is definitely open at low cost when you consider an inexpensive lens option such as the RF 100-400mm USM.
