X-Men fans have reason to be happy with Hasbro's recent 90's based figures but can they finally deliver a solid Colossus and will a mostly repainted Juggernaut be good enough to replace the baf?

When you mentioned the feet issue with colossus, I thought well that hopefully won't be that noticeable when posing him, but then you showed how tiny his fists are and I was like (☉_☉).
  • Honestly anthony is an actual good reviewer bc he mentions all of the good things about it but also mentions all of the bad things to really give us a real review
  • 1:00 that is 100% exactly what a toy reviewer should do! So many other Youtubers don’t step up and state obvious flaws on action figures they review because they fear they’ll lose sponsorship with companies... you are the exact opposite Anthony. If a figure sucks, you’re going to be honest and say it sucks. If a figure rocks, you’re going to be honest and say it rocks! I’ve been watching your reviews for over a year now, and you’ve actually made me look at action figures in a way I never have before. We need more (if not all) toy reviewers to step up and do the same! Keep up the amazing work bro!

I want to know how Hasbro can make an awesome beefy sculpt for Omega Red and not reuse ANY OF IT. Freaking Hasbro...
  • @d19xx
Maybe Hasbro and Crocs have a deal requiring the figures to wear Crocs foot wear.

Why does everyone call this a "Jim Lee Colossus"? It is a "Dave Cockrum/John Byrne Colossus" but wearing a "Jim Lee style" belt... sort of. First, Jim Lee gave Colossus completely different wrist bracers/bands. They were longer, covering the backs of his hands with a parallel extension that almost reached his elbow. They were also a slimmer profile, and mostly red with thin gold/yellow piping along their outer edges and segments. Second, Jim Lee gave Colossus different boots with no yellow at the top of the knee cover. They were again, mostly red with thin gold/yellow piping in bands right above and right below the knee (similar to Rogue's boots). Lastly, the points on the shoulder covers were squared off in Jim Lee's depiction. Now regarding the belt. On this figure it is essentially the Cockrum design with a bigger buckle to accommodate an "X" logo (Colossus never wore an "x" on his costume until Jim Lee's X-men #1. In fact neither did Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Psylocke or Jubilee). Even so, this belt does not match Jim Lee's art either. Though Whilce Portacio, who pencilled Uncanny X-men at the same time ( Which featured Colossus more often as a "gold team" member), often drew Colossus with a belt featuring a square "X" buckle. So the takeaway here is that, as great as this figure is, it does not entirely correctly depict Colossus from any era. Hasbro owes us at least two more releases based on this figure. Preferably with better feet and forearms.

Coming back to this after 7 months, I cut the feet up and sanded them down to look like the Omega feet. Good alternative if you do it right!

"You're gonna fall unless ya take my hand...." XD

Wow man I love your colossus review. You're one of the best reviewers man. Love it. Didn't realize the issues until you pointed them out!!! Keep up the good work!
  • @FluxQueen
I love your reviews! They're honestly really relaxing to watch
  • @duffboy502
As always, great review. Love how you tackle the issues people might usually ignore (myself included) because of their nostalgia glasses. 90's x-men figures will always have a high demand, but that is not an excuse for shortcuts and bad design. Also, wasn't ready for 14:32 lol. Coming from you, that was funny but equally scary.
  • @Maugrim76
Love it. Hearing: "I'm not NOT gonna talk about it." is so refreshing and helpful. So many other reviewers are so 'forgiving' since they only want to earn pinpoints from companies. I don't know why this channel hasn't got more subscribers! So good and knowledgeable reviews from a fan FOR the fans. This is the Colossus I've been looking for.
  • @KitbashCustoms
You reviewing this set is exactly why I love this channel!!!!! I have the same gripes with both figures, especially colossus’s feet and his dainty hands lol
  • @eliasrebelo5945
Anthony, amazing review. Just received my colossus/juggernaut two pack. The colossus's feet are really bad. But the fist hands I think I found a solution: when you put the fist hand in the arm just insert half of the peg in... The hands will appear bigger... Tell me what you think. Thanks
  • @GodParticleZero
You went overboard on the feet, but those hands are ridiculous lol
  • @nhyar
I rewatched your Juggernaut BaF review yesterday, it's a nice coincidence that you uploaded this video today because now I remember everything you said about the other one and it adds a lot to this new review. I like the new helmet, I don't know if they also changed the way his head sits on the body but with that new helmet it looks less gappy and it's even better.
  • @mrhoovy889
What a legendary set. I'm gonna get these soon...
