I took a five-day trip at the end of May 2024 with my French husband Matthieu.
Our forth destination was Domme, which has been voted one of the most beautiful villages in France.

Domme is a village of around 800 inhabitants in the Dordogne department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
When we arrived in Domme, we first went to the tourist office to get a map.
On the way, we saw some beautiful stone buildings and visited a few souvenir shops.
After visiting the church and stopping for an ice cream, we wandered around the village and did some sightseeing.
Domme may seem like a small village, but the residential area is quite large and it seemed like a lot of people lived there.
It was a weekday at the end of May, but there were quite a few tourists in the village centre, as it's a popular tourist destination.
We enjoyed walking a little further away from the centre. As it was less crowded, we could take our time and appreciate the beautiful old buildings.
