You can't beat fishing days, even the ones that leave you empty handed. The best catfish bait that I've found is cheap hotdogs, a ton of chopped garlic, and a pack of cherry kool-aid covered in water and let it sit a few days. Catfish tear it up.

You can take your line wrap it around the empty water bottle and you can place your hook in the mouth of the water bottle.

I still remember the little perch and sunfish I caught with my friends on the Bay of Quinte off Lake Ontario. Connecting to the beauty of the Earth and feeling good.
