32:28 "We don’t go to confession so that we never go to confession again. Confession is part of our relationship with God. I’m always bringing my weakness, my need for healing, the places in my heart that are still imperfect and just need His love." Important words for me, especially as a perfectionist. Thank you.
  • I love how Matt talks about his wife ❤️ My parent’s don’t have a great marriage, and Matt gives me hope that not all marriages are like the one I grew up around. It’s so beautiful to hear him talk about his wife so lovingly.

This is easily the best three hours I have spent in years. I have been hitting a wall, hard, with my faith as a newly converted Catholic because I know I am struggling to open my heart due to past traumas. This was a fabulous episode to get out of my own head. Ohh and that prayer exercise please cut that into a short so I can keep coming back time and time again!

If there is someone passing messages onto Fr Boniface about how the prayer went, please tell him it was a divine intervention I desperately needed at this time, and thank you.

Listening to Matt and Fr. Boniface is so beautiful but also breaks my heart. I've never heard men speak like this.... It brings me to tears and I don't know how to get through this video. Especially when Matt talks about how beautiful his children are when they confess to him. Makes me weep for my children and my own childhood.

This may be the most beautiful interview I've heard on Pints with Aquinas. Thank you, Matt. Thank you, Fr. Boniface. ❤
  • "My weakness is always a near occasion of communion." How beautiful is that! Thank you, Fr. Boniface, God bless you!

1:47:05 Matt going “yum, yum, yum” to bourbon with 57% alcohol while Father Boniface just widens his eyes after he tries it is the very good laugh I needed today

At 17 I enlisted and found myself over seas serving my country. The things I saw and did built a strong layer of stone over my heart. I got out and joined law enforcement which didn’t help the situation. It only hardened it further. All the while I had a longing for God, but I never felt worthy of being in his presence. After hearing this I found myself crying which I’m not very comfortable with. I found my defenses coming up hard, but the grace was just to much for my defenses to over come. Thank you Matt for all you do.

I could listen to Father Boniface Hicks all day, he speaks directly to my soul

Matt, I’m driving home listening and at about 30:00 in I am weeping, listening to hall talk about vulnerability and communion, and how you want so much for your child. I as a daughter and wife and mother am sobbing for how beautiful all these things are. I treasure the expression of these thoughts in a format like this. I am not alone. We are not alone. Thank you for your conversations and that we can listen.
  • The prayer exercise was very beautiful, it was an oasis of living water. Thank you Father Boniface and Matt. I have ordered ‘The Fruit of Her Womb’. I am an Anglo Catholic from Sussex, England.

When it comes to those "instant gratification" expectations, we as a society really need a reset on what is realistic and kind when it comes to our expectations of others. People's perspective is shrinking rapidly and its tough to know where to try and draw that boundary. I love that they discussed the struggle to desire to be charitable vs draining yourself to the requests of others.
  • PWA has been such a blessing in my faith journey and Fr. Hicks is such a wise, beautiful, gentle soul. Sending love from San Diego.
  • I went to Mass last evening after the meditation and seeing Jesus on my couch, in my heart was so beautiful. I still see him there today. I can’t always sit with Him but he is there for me all the time. Thank you so much.
  • Comments on communion and solitude around 55:28 remind me of the Les mis line “to love another person is to see the face of God”. This is a beautiful conversation
