  • Come on guys! I am just as agitated by the news of Downs getting injured but this is beginning to rub me the wrong way. I am a huge Downs fan and believe he is in the cusp of stardom as a top slot receiver in the NFL, so I get the displeasure of how this happened. With that being said; I watched the Cross interview and I know for a fact he did say that he didn't intend this and that Josh is his guy and he would never try to do that and he is ready to go check on him in the locker room. Yes, he said they are competing... Of course they are! Should he have taken him to the ground? Absolutely Not! But let's not crucify Cross for this unfortunate injury to the point where he becomes this villain!!! Mistakes happen... He did own it and expressed his concern for his teammate. Just because he didn't come out and say what you wanted to hear doesn't change a thing...except for peoples perspective. Which unfortunately at this time seems to suck! It is football! Injuries happen all the time and in the elements, heat of battle, and competition these guys can go too hard on occasion. We see it often... Let's just pump the brakes a bit on Nick Cross and give this young man the opportunity to learn and develop as a player in this team that can contribute to a culture that WANTS TO BE COMPETITIVE AND SUCCESSFUL!!! Again, I am upset this happened too!!! But I think this is going a bit too far... Just my opinion. Appreciate the content Aaron and Drake! Go Horse!!!!
