April 26, 2017 - The command was given to the Cassini Spacecraft to begin the Grand Finale. Beginning the end of the near 20 years exploring Saturn and its moons. Cassini's last transmission was five months later on September 15 as the spacecraft broke up in Saturn's atmosphere.

This beautifully produced clip from National Geographic's COSMOS: POSSIBLE WORLDS narrated by Neil deGrasse Tyson features some of Cassini's final images taken before its mission ended.
