I chuckled at the comment, "it won't stop. It just keeps coming". I had a very large mystery breed with a lush thick double coat. German Shepard bear mix? When brushing him out there was never a point when I could consider the job done. It truly never stopped. It just kept coming. What a lovely gentle giant he was though.

His initial face of disappointment once the muzzle went on because he couldn’t act a fool anymore cracked me up. It was like a toddler sitting in a corner, pouting. 😂 This was such a transformation. Great job!!

despite having a bad experience at a groomers, a bad ear infection and not liking brushing he's honestly so well behaved! thats why I enjoy your videos because you consider the needs of the dogs ❤

I once adopted a senior dog like this. Ten years old and needed a new home. Unfortunately he was hell for grooming. I don't even know what happened to him before I got him. I was able to (with a TON of extra work) get him to allow me to do most of it but, it. was hard on him and on me. We got judged a lot with this dog by people who didn't know we'd given a senior (uncoropereative) dog a home. Thanks Vanessa for helping this dog out. I wish you'd been around when we took on our Milo. He was a sweet senior boy who for whatever reason from his past just didn't like grooms. This husky came out amazingly well!

That was like pulling cotton candy off him. What a good job! And...he did great for a dog that doesn't like being brushed.

It cracks me up when you call the dogs “sir” and “ma’am” 😅 your no-nonsense tone shows you know how to handle nervous animals.

We had Malamutes for around 30 years. I got quite good at using the snake for the drains. Alot of times we would brushed them out, outside. The birds loved it.

Nothing fosters more respectful affection in me like watching a dog stoically bear things I know cause them pain quietly and without lashing out.

What a good puppy dog. He looked like he was trying to brave through all the things that were not his favorite - the dryer, brushing, nail clippings. Also shows your talent for helping the dogs be calm

For a 13-year old, Malibu is in fabulous condition - and looks half his age (and size!) after the groom. Kudos to you - and to his owner, who takes such good care of him. I hope he feels as much better as he looks. A very long day for both of you!

You can see the difference in the before/after just the way he is walking around. Getting his nails clipped and his weight probably almost halved, at his age, did wonders for his balance and definitely put a spring in his step. It was not easy for either of you but you did what was best for him. Kudos as always for your patience and for your work.

I'm so glad you were able to groom him this easily, it's amazing. My mom refuses to groom our Great Pyrenees and the groomers around us won't take dogs anywhere near his size, so I've had to learn how to safely groom him because his temperament towards any part of grooming is worse than Malibu's. It's been difficult considering I'm a young teen but watching these do really motivate me and Bear doesn't even need a muzzle anymore, just the gentle leader
