David Suich is a retired engineer who founded and operated Steps of Hope Outreach, a nonprofit organization that served orphanages in Nepal, Mexico, and Haiti from 2003 through 2018. During a painful and chronic physical condition that triggered severe depression, he clicked on a YouTube video about an atheist who died momentarily and saw Heaven. This led him on a 14-year journey of research into near-death experiences, including the testimonies of over 1000 people who have died, seen the afterlife, and returned.

His book God Took My Clothes.

What happens when we die? Is it the end of existence, or is there something more? Thanks to advances in modern medicine and some miraculous recoveries, thousands of people have died, seen the afterlife, and returned. God Took My Clothes summarizes the lessons learned from 12 years of near-death experience research as well as the testimonies of over 700 people who have died in various ways, returned, and talked about the afterlife. Their incredible testimonies reveal a non-judgmental creator of light and infinite love beyond what human language is capable of describing. God Took My Clothes discusses what it feels like to die, the life review, the environments of Heaven and Hell, God’s view of religion, the nature of our existence, humanity’s future, and the importance of living life with love and compassion. This book presents the hidden truth. Death is no different than waking up from a dream. You cannot die.

Please enjoy my conversation with David Suich.

My mother either purposely or accidentally killed herself in 1982. Church says you go to hell and this really bothered me. In 1990, I was at college and just a little bit stressed about being on the right path, I prayed for a sign. When I woke up, I was being tickled all over my torso, and even after I was awake, I was still being tickled - just like my mom used to do when I was little. My ribs, which were pressed against the mattress, were still being tickled - I was laughing hysterically (wide awake). I stopped believing in hell at that point.

"one person living in unconditional love is more powerful than millions living in fear" I love that!
  • Thank you for mentioning plants towards the end there. I have always killed my house plants. I finally stopped buying house plants because they would just die. After my spiritual awakening I realized that plants had souls too. My mom bought me an orchad, one of the hardest plants to take care of. I was not happy becauese I thought the poor thing was going to die. I remebered that they have a soul and started treating it like it was my friend. I speak to this plant, I touch it lovingly, and I let it know Im here and will take of it. Its been alive for 3 years now and bloomed last year. I couldn't believe it. It just proves that love is so important.
  • On life support for 10 days back in September 2021 with ruptured aorta . Obviously not my time to leave as I returned with toe amputation and stomach stiched from top to bottom. Believe me you have no idea what lies on the other side and I was an atheist b4 hand. Passed out in the ambulance to wake up to my guardian angel holding my shoulder telling me everything was going to be ok. She reminded me of a Greek goddess so strong and powerful. The next time I woke up i was sent through a tunnel into the atmosphere which I can only describe as years ahead in the future. I did not want to return but for some reason I had to. Very difficult to comprehend at times but I have to try and carry on as normal which is very difficult after experiencing what I saw. Materialistic things do not even bother me now and I am now a spiritual person. Everything mentioned in this video is so near the truth that it has to be real As a last comment just realize that earth is hell in itself God never made hell we made it as humans and this is where we live. God bless you all.

I had this experience. I was 36. I was alone in my apartment. My life was a mess. Just had a recent break up. Felt hopeless and very lonely. I was sitting in a chair and all of a sudden my late grandma appeared and hugged me. The love that came from her was like nothing I had or have experienced since. It was magical and so beautiful that it made me think if this what love is like on the other side, then Wow! But, I knew this was not an earthly type love. I have never forgotten it and it has been 37 years since it happened.

I died during surgery but never left the OR, watched the doctors and nurses revive me. When I described everything that I saw the doc was stunned . All I can say is it was the most peaceful feeling nothing you'll never experience on this earth
  • I am a Muslim woman. I have had dreams very much like the NDE's people describe, I never experience the light like I'm straight there zhoome in a void then am greeted by family souls and once I was greeted by spirit beings who talked me through certain processes. But never once encountered religious people i-e Muhammad , Jesus etc. I get the feeling religion doesn't figure seriously in that place. I always feel calm protected and an enormous sense of love n warmth.
  • My father always said the best church is in the woods among nature. What a smart man he was ~ <3
  • What he says about feeling more alive is. true. My husband died but he sent me a voicemail a month after his death. This was his voicemail "I'm alive and I love it".
  • 💜🙏 THANK YOU I had a NDE experience 30 years ago after the birth of my daughter. I received a message to return to my life and to start doing what I was supposed to be doing. After this experience I changed a lot in my life and became a Holistic Therapist…still practicing today. My experience was that of being energy connected to a stronger energy force. Communication was telepathic. I believe God is The Life Force and The Life Force is Love.

I had a near death experience about seven years ago, and I never told anyone about what I saw because I though I was crazy. Your channel and the guests you interview have lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. So thank you. I appreciate the work your doing, this channel has become my safe space. :)

I asked my doctor if he talked to his patients about near death experiences . he absolutly believes them. It's nice to have a doctor that thinks outside the box.

I had had a bad day and feeling sorry for myself. I was waiting on a train platform. The train arrived, doors opened and as I stepped on I saw a man on two canes, both legs in braces, shopping bags hanging on the canes fighting his way on to the train. That brought me to reality and thankfulness for my lousy day
  • My brother died many years ago and he came back to me in a dream and told me not to fear dying. "It's like walking out of one door into another ." He had on a red skull cap and I had never seen him wearing this type and color of a cap in life. When I told my sister about this dream, she told me that my brother was wearing a red cap the last time he had stopped by the house, a few days before his death.
  • I was blessed after my mum passed. I was in a different country, heartbroken and depressed. One night I cried out to God, “I just wanted to say goodbye”. That night my mum came to me, we talked and she told me she loved me and would always love me. Then there was a light. I fell to my knees because the power of that UNCONDITIONAL love was something I could never put into words. I felt unworthy and ‘thought’ as much in my head. The light answered into my head ‘there is nothing you could ever do that would make me not love you’ and there was a little humour, as if a child believed their parent could stop loving them. It stays with me always and I know those words were meant for each one of us. I never shed another tear for my mum. I know she will be there when it’s my time. The hardest thing I struggle with now (30 years later) is the great desire to go home, into that love that waits for us all. God is very real ❤

This reminded me of so many experiences. This one took place about 3 years before most people had cell phones. One night my car had broken down coming home from work on a VERY cold (-0) Minnesota night out in the country. Properties were very far apart, so after I had trudged through snow and ice to knock on 3 doors of houses where I saw lights on and heard noise but no one answered (1 closed their curtains, 2 turned off the porch light) I thought "okay, I'll walk the 2 miles home and hope I survive it." (What I really thought was "how could people be so cruel or cowardly on a night such as this?) As I started walking - in my office clothes, not prepared for that kind of weather - I saw a porch light blink. It was pretty far away but my body was completely numb so I walked toward the light. When I got to the door, it was already open and a woman was standing there, welcoming me into her toasty warm house, asking if I needed help. I told her about my car and that I just needed to use her phone to call my husband. I know that woman saved my life on that night. I wish I remembered her name but I know it's written in the book of my life and her life.

I’m a hypnotherapist regression specialist and it’s been fascinating seeing each person’s different life times but one that was interesting was the clients guide turned out to be her horse. Whenever she rode it she would receive downloads from it, answers to things that had been bothering her. That was the first time that happened in a session so fascinating x
