  • I really enjoyed this video. I'm 78, have a masters in reading and ESL, and learned---that practicing the dictation exercise would help a person improve his/her ability to recall. One is never too old to learn. Thanks!

Am I the only one who just found it now? He's a great teacher; I listened to him from the start till the last minute.

two years ago, I listened to him and understand nothing because he spoke to fast and my English is so terrible. And at the moment, I recognized his voice is so so clear, strong and beautiful. The lessons are really useful and used simple words. Really thank him and this channel. Hope the channel will develope more.

This class should be taught at every school ! I didn’t realized listening is so critical until I went to toastmaster. I’ve missed the whole half of my life ! My son and I just watched this video. It’s so helpful !!

  • I took this professors class at LBCC 3 years ago before I transferred to CSUDH and I have to say they are one of the best professors ever and taught me how to change the way I approach learning and I still use the skills he taught me to this day.
  • He makes things in a way easy to understand. That literally makes him a great teacher.
  • @SleepyAizawa69
He discussed and analysed one of the biggest problem of modern humans🙏♥️
  • What an interesting lecture! I like the way he can actually hold the class peacefully tight and focused. That’s the precise definition of the very lecture he teaches.
  • As a current student at Barstow Community College, I am taking a Comm1 class, Elements of Public Speaking, and I am learning a lot. This was a great addition and gave me new insights to not only become a better speaker, but it also gave me the tools, I feel everyone needs, to become a better listener as well, not only for course work, but in my personal life as well. Thank you so much. I look forward to learning more and becoming a better communicator as well.

Feeling very grateful to watch this, I wish every teacher should be like him..

This guy was awesome, just the sort of listening-skills lesson I needed. I currently rely on reading textbooks ahead of time in order to listen to my professors. Without doing so, I am completely lost. I'm going to try listening to some YouTube videos and writing down what was said, thank you much for the tips!

From my experience of learning English as a foreign learner, I highly recommend exposing yourself to the language through movies and any other audio-visual content, this helped me get used to the pattern of that language and gave me a huge advantage among other learners who were learning English in a straight forward and boring method.
