Just got bags installed on my 86 for the first time and I'm loving it so far. Just the convenience of adjusting height on the fly when I need to is great. Only issue I have was I wish I bought the smaller 1/4" air lines instead of the 3/8" just because airing up feels a bit jarring at first, its not as smooth or fluent as it should be. But that's just a minor complaint

Which brand is good air lift performance and UAS air suspension? What’s the difference can you let me know . I wanna order ? But I am confused to order ?
  • @JohnnyLehti
Intresting. Personally i wonder why not all race cars runs air suspension if it's faster on the track. I run coilovers on all my cars and they are not extremely bumpy. I would say that if they are extremely bumpy they are not set up correctly.

Airlift has had a racing league since the 70s with cars that are all on airlift suspension

Do you think switching to bags would slow down my lap times significantly? I’ve never driven on air suspension so I have nothing to compare to. Cheers. (F82 m4)

I looking for a suspension where I don't feel the road at all. just like sitting in the car when it not moving, smooth. soft recoveries

Common sense would tell you that when it comes to sports cars there is no way bags can out perform coils. Bags (long term) cannot handle the abuse coils can.

My bag keeps coming loose and airline is wrapping around the bag tried tightening the nut at the bottom but loose again only has 1 nut lock but on my BC coilovers it has to lock nuts to tighten it🤷🏻‍♂️

What if you want to tow a trailer..? I have a VW Passat estate and thinking about air ride. But i still want to be able to tow my golf to the track
  • I am seriously considering purchasing a quality air bag suspension kit for my 2017 Mini Cooper f56 hardtop. My only hesitation is that in some areas, we have really rough roads with many potholes, and I'm currently having a very rough ride over them. This is despite having a set of quality, brand-name coilovers on my car. My question is, would the air suspension hold up to the very rough roads for a daily driver?

Do you guys work in Teslas ? How is the ride for teslas drive for model 3 performance and y ?
  • @gofastg80
Opinions don’t matter when it comes to suspension facts do. Air ride is not meant for sports cars at all. Specially if you are going to track your car. Spring response compared to air bags are not the same. Springs respond to compression much faster compared to a air bags. You will never see any race car run on air bags. Bags are meant for cruisers, low rides or someone that wants to have the adjustability of the ride hight. As far as pricing goes actually Coilovers can be more expensive depending on what company you choose to go with. Also depends on the materials used to create a Coilover. Like JRZs, Penske or Motons can cost over $15,000- $30,000 depending on the level of motor sport. Even some street setups can run over $10,000 for a proper set. If you run air bags on a proper sports car, you are running the suspension setup and handling or the car.

How good are coil overs for everyday driving?
  • @Corbots80
Air ride - impresses teenagers. Coil overs - for anyone that cares about performance
