I am impressed. One of the most thorough reviews of a game I have seen, and yet the play time was just under 2 hours! Love this idea and can't wait to see more of this!

All that blocking against the Nob hurt my soul to watch.
-
For the curious, the Spirit Poop given to you by the fire spirits has a very negligible effect. It lowers your score by 1. Your score on a winning run is in multiple hundreds, maybe a couple thousands.

Slay the Spire has quite a bit more progression for you to discover, enjoy!!!

How to recognize a new StS player: they see Anger and think - awesome, free damage, no downside! What could go wrong? :D Great review!

It's cool to see someone getting into Slay the Spire as we are getting closer and closer to the early access release of Slay the Spire 2. It's a really cool game. As for the power cards they are basically like permanent skill cards. You play them once and then get their effects for the rest of combat. Honestly reaching Act 2 within two hours is pretty impressive. I remember struggling a bunch when I first played the game.

This is one of my favourite games of all time. I dislike roguelikes and card games, and yet this game has me hooked enough to have sunk well over 600 hours into it! Glad you enjoyed it, stay awesome bro! :D

Love the video, I look forward to seeing more of this :D Super cool to see an initial impressions where you really tried to understand and breakdown what you knew about the game from an initial impression. It really brings to light pitfalls like gremlin nob's strength gain being permanent so that first block you played was actually -3 after 4 turns and not even 3 blocks worth XD

Love seeing a fresh review from someone of this game. Slay the Spire birthed a genre, one I adore, so it’s great seeing an ‘outsider’s’ take as it were. Good luck in your slaying. P.S. you can hover over the text buttons in dialog to see what you’re getting usually.

As a first timer to the channel, I respect your want to review this even though this is 1. a roguelike and 2. not story-driven like hades. Good video, i think the editing is nice and WHAT THE HELL 37 SUBSCRIBERS?

I love Slay the Spire so much, the replay value is great. Even if you have 200 hours in, there's a good chance you still haven't made it that far (looking at you, self. Although maybe I'm just bad). And if you did get to that point, there are some awesome mods that add more content or just plain fun.

Heeeeey I really like this style! I hope you keep it up in the future. Slay the Spire is my favorite current roguelike at this point. It's just... so good. Looking forward to the sequel!

Do It for dicey dungeon. I played it once and the first few hours was great. I beat the game and realized it was just the beginning, there are many characters to unluck and each char has a quirk to make it stronger and a quirk to make it harder to play

Woah, nice! Might pick this one up sometime. Great job on the video!

Great video! subscribed and waiting for more!

at 1:17 the strike before the bash hurt my soul. I just care to much about maximizing my damage :( play this game too much

I wonder what such a review for Slice and Dice 3.0 would be, now that it can be bough on Steam

Hey this is a great review! StS is an incredible game, and has a sequal coming out in 2025! but dont let that disuade you from playing this one. once you start the ascension climb you'll only keep coming back despite the game only getting harder and harder. Btw you definitely deserve more subs. this is a really cool idea for a series!
-
Hey, just wanted to let you know there is permanent progression, the more you play the more cards and items you unlock and if you do certain objectives there’s a whole another part of the game.
-
Additionally free mods for the game let you play as the bosses adding EVEN MORE content to an already highly replayable game
