Printable Scenery recently finished a successful Kickstarter for Hagglethorn Hollow, which was inspired by Jim Henson’s movie The Labyrinth. Hand sculpted by Weta Workshop (The Hobbit, LOTR, etc.) artist Johnny Fraser-Allen, the structures of Hagglethorn Hollow were 3D-scanned and made available for reproduction on home 3D printers. This is to my knowledge the first print of the HH buildings on the new Anycubic Vyper.

With a cubic infill of 10% using PLA+, I set the layer height to 0.16mm, and the results as you can see are remarkable (after tuning the profile): the layer lines are nearly invisible even at close range, and the hand-sculpted look is achieved as expected. The video shows progress after 7 hours on the printer in an estimated 10.5 hour print. The printed itself is very quiet but the fan was loud because the phone was held close. You cannot hear it in the next room when I close the door.

You’re lucky to be alive! That squirrel attack was something else!
  • 10.5 hrs!!! at .16. I started this one also and mine will be about 17hrs with 10% infil at .2 on my Ender 3v2. I am at 13 hours so far. Maybe the vyper will be my next printer :)

I'm guessing the squirrel video was just a joke. It's probably his pet squirrel.

Make sure your fan is set to 100% in Cura - should get rid of the constant sensor beeping! The print looks great 😁
