I personally believe that their original films are better than their respective follow ups because they introduce us to these characters and kicks off their journeys which gives away more impact

Well, sometimes a sequel can surpass the quality of the original, depending on how well it's done. Mostly because the follow ups can expand on the characters' stories and bigger adventures

I picture it as two sides of the same coin: the original film helps to introduce us to the world, the characters, and the overall experience of said films. But, when it can, the sequel/prequels of the original can surpass them with expanding their respective worlds, introduce new concepts, and give growth to the characters already there.

Aside from 2 flaws it on pair as the first flim
  • I believe Pixar needs to make sequels so that they can get the money to fund more original projects. If they can’t make any money, then they can’t make anymore originals. Pixar said they are balancing originals and sequels, which I am fully supporting. It’s not like they can just go to their bank and make a loan of a million dollars. It’s not gonna work all the time. So to the people who think Pixar is only gonna do sequels, think again. Maybe you should use this time to actually study what goes on in the film business instead of just assuming.

if we start to think If Riley repressed the memory of Bing Bong he would be alive now...

Bro Said toy story 4 was better than the first
  • You do make a good point, whenever a good original project is successful, it would be a good IP. And Pixar did manage to make some solid sequels, even if for most of the franchises, I prefer the original. But for Toy Story I actually prefer the second and third installments, which is great because it goes to show that the franchise is worth continuing. And Inside Out, I’m honestly don’t have a clear preference as I do think they have their own strengths that makes them both great, in my opinion, that is.

What is the mind of a blind person like? How would they deal with memories? Would emotions be blind too?

It depends on the sequels, Toy Story' sequels ( except 4 ) for example can be considered better than the first because they seek to tell something new while improving the narration. 1 talks about woody's jealousy towards buzz and 3 talks about abandonment for example. But there are clearly sequels that cannot surpass the original like Incredibles 2 which, from my point of view, failed to keep the charm of the first film. The vilains were flat and the film went a little in all directions

Honestly, Pixar sequels are hit-and-miss. Toy Story 2 and 3 are great, and way better than the first. TS4 is awful, so hopefully TS5 is good. Monsters University is also great, but the original is better. Inside Out 2 was better than the first in my opinion. Cars 2 is good, but a bad sequel. but not as good as the original. Cars 3 is my favorite of the trilogy. Finding Dory is good, and Incredibles 2 is awful.
