most of the time i’m fine, but every once in a while death anxiety kicks in and i feel awful
  • “I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.” - Mark Twain

We don't fear death but we fear not being alive. The feeling of not being able to experience anything anymore sends chills down our spine. I dont fear death, i just don't want to be there when it happens to me.

recently, death has just constantly been in the back of my mind. I cry myself to sleep knowing I will definitely die one day, along with not knowing how or when. it’s hard to enjoy life as a whole, constantly being reminded it won’t matter when you’re dead. You won’t remember your loved ones or the fun times. The fact that everyone has the same fate is comforting in a way. I see being dead as how you were before you were born. You remember none of it because you didn’t exist, and that’s how I view being dead after life. It’s hard you know, I’m 15, and, for example, when I’m learning at school I just remember it’s pointless as I die in the end. If you’re reading this and you feel the same, you’re not alone ❤️

who came here because death anxiety kicks in
  • People don't necessarily fear death, we fear the unknown of death. It's like when someone sees a cave. They don't fear the cave itself, they fear whatever is inside the cave.

i’m not necessarily scared of death. i’m just scared that i’ll be a empty spirit inside a dark quiet room. i just want closure that there will actually be light and another world with my loved ones i lost over the years..

“I don't want to die; I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all.”
  • I don't fear that death will eventually come, I just fear it will come before I'm okay with it coming

So weird how we are all going to die, everyone in this comment section, the guy in the video too, including me. So R.I.P in advance

I confronted my fear of death at age 12 or so, i thought to myself “if im going to die and i cant prevent it i need to make the best of what i have”

If your watching this in 3019 then I am dead

Once I was on my bed laying and thought "Dying is just like sleeping, and you only know you slept because you wake up. But there is no waking up when you die. You would never wake up." I was so horrified.

Every time my death anxiety gets triggered and I have a panic attack I always watch this video. It is so interesting but I find comfort that everyone around you will have the same outcome. I'm probably going to dwell on it for another month because that is just how my anxiety is but I hope for love and I always have a goal. I want to have more happy days than bad days in a week
  • maybe a little morbid, but sometimes a fear of death is the one thing keeping some of us still alive.
  • @pjgaming9040
The most scariest thing about death is you don’t know when it will come
  • It's starting to get worst for me. See back then, Everytime i fear it, I just tell myself "talk to people, friends and loved ones, you'll forget about that" but now, it's "what's the point? In the end, they'll die too"

If this helps anyone out there. It's going to be alright. If there's nothing after then worrying is objectively a waste of time, if there is, then worry is still objectively a waste of time. don't worry too hard about it. either way, worrying about it isn't worth it. If you're nervous or scared, it's going to be fine no matter how it turns out. One way or another you're going to find out and all that worrying wouldn't have made any difference.
