  • I’m surprised Alexi doesn’t think Uruguay is a stronger team than us. You only need to say that Uruguay recently beat Argentina and ended their non beaten streak
  • @appealinglife
Uruguay has the youngest team in conmebol at the moment. Top two team in this tournament for sure. Araujo captain of Barcelona, Valverde captain of Real Madrid, Suarez Captain of Gremio and best player of the year in Brazil, Ugarte best number 5 in France, Nuñez most goals in SA qualifying and one the best Strikers in the world, Arrascaeta best number 10 in Brazil, Gimenez still playing a pro level in Atletico de Madrid, Pellistri Manchester United, Bentacur one the best midfielders in the premier league playing for Tottenham. Also Uruguay won the Under 20 World Cup, none of those kids are playing in the main national team. I only see great future for Uruguay. ...and to top it off Marcelo Bielsa is getting the best of these players as a team. Good luck to any body paying Uruguay, is not going to be easy to beat them.
  • @Its-a-Sign
Uruguay and Argentina will play the final game.
  • I actually agree with Alexi. This isn’t a young team anymore. They’ve been to a World Cup. Our standards should be high, no matter who we’re playing. I’d say, anything less than a semi-final appearance at Cope America is a failure.
  • @merycastro2608
Alexis you are out of your mind . Uruguay is the clearly the favorite
  • Has Lalas seen Uruguay play? They run like cheetahs. Their midfield could be argued to be one of the best in the world at the moment. They have the captains of Real Madrid and Barcelona on their squad. The best #5 in France with Ugarte. Darwin is the leading scorer in WC Qualifying. Because of their speed, their counter attack is deadly. Their high press is incredibly effective as their opponents don't even have time to breath let alone try and break out. They are defensively sound as Uruguayan teams have always been and have the ability to win the ball back quickly. They can play very physically as well if that is what the game warrants. All this in just 5 games under Bielsa. Their top players are 22-25 years of age and waiting on the wings are their entire Under 23 World Cup Champion team. This team is good already but has the potential to be scary good by this coming summer. This is a team preparing for the the next WC, not just the Copa America. Anything is possible as we all know but my money is on them. My apologies if I have repeated what has already been said.
  • @watchgagootz
The inconsistency of this team is what makes me believe that this team will have a hard time going through the second round.
  • @jrivers8305
USA cannot beat Uruguay, can defeat Panamá but Bolivia maybe! Bolivia's long time #9 Marcelo Martin's just retired and maybe the team might rejuvenate and change their system. It's a toss up!!
  • @hr-g4640
btw Uruguay are currently the u20 world champions, the USA can't even make a semifinals in youth world cups, Uruguay is a football nation, they are prepred and trained to achieved higher highs than the USA, the objective of Uruguay is not to win against strong teams, is to win the whole things, expect that level
  • @hr-g4640
the mentality Lalas has about the game with Uruguay is perfect except for one thing, he is understimating Uruguay a lot, first of all he is correct about the way USA should see uruguay but he is not correct at the level Uruguay has, is Uruguay at the same level of the Netherlands? it is over that level, this Uruguay team is getting prepared for one thing, winning the world cup, do you think a two times world cup winner wanting to win the world cup again is crazy? with players in real madrid, barcelona, liverpool, manchester united, psg, it isn't, Uruguay is not only over the Netherlands currently but they are prepared to go toe to toe with the best national teams in the world, France and England, Argentina and Brazil, they beat the world champions in their home soil, and you can argue how a bankrupt country with no money like argentina paid the refs and bought the world cup, this team disappeared france in a world cup final for a whole 75 minutes and went toe to toe agaisnt them until the very last, they are world champions and they got smashed by Uruguay, if you go to the Uruguay not expecting a world champion level team then you will get smashed
  • @andrewsmith9174
To be honest about our status: there is no settling for less than a final four. We will either play Argentina or Brazil and I can accept a loss to either. And that loss we accept to go to the 3rd/4th place game needs to be a close game 1-0; 2-1; 2-0 at worst. If we aren’t making a statement of honest growth and a showcase of ability and lessons learned, then we lying to ourselves about our soccer program and future.
  • @Tank721
I really wanted Bielsa to be our coach but ended up resigning Berhalter make that make sense to me smh
  • @juanfelipe1530
Oof. Sorry USA. Uruguay top the group and Panama finish second. Wont be easy though. It will be a fascinating group to see unfold
  • @coachdev8873
The arrogance of the Mr.Lalas is something that's systematically deep rooted in American social culture especially. The best team talent wise with a deep bench is Uruguay not united states lets be keep it real united states is not even second in that group from talent perspective .
  • @AB-lm6dy
Bolivia is a tougher challenge for USA then Panama.. they dont really play each other like Panama plays USA in world cup qualifiers.. i would expect Bolivia to go in trying to steal a tie. A tie would kill US in standings
  • @juanrobbie3172
Do not underestimate Uruguay...the US better be on their A game
  • @slingstone
I'm tired of hearing about Usa B team..The whole team is a B Team.Stop hyping USA they are Over rated. There best player is not even the best player in Concacaf.
  • I'm a huge USMNT fan. Gregg Berhalter has shown us nothing to indicate the USMNT will win the group. Based on the teams' previous performances. Finishing third in World Cup qualifiers, Copa America qualifiers finish second. Unfortunatly, USMNT will not win the group.
