  • Appreciate ya, Dr. EG! These videos explain so much. Having cataract surgery, LensX with Toric lenses. Right eye done @ 4 weeks ago. Happy with the results. Left eye tomorrow. Your information is spot on, and easily understood... without the stresses of the office. 👍🍻
  • I never plan on having refractive surgery, but this is so consoling and informative for people who are going through recovery or soon plan to. Thank you for your videos. It helps so many people in invaluable ways.

This is one of the best informative videos on this topic.

I'm 44 and just had LASIK 3 days ago with a -5.5 prescription and mild astigmatism. I wish I had done it much sooner! This video was really helpful as I was worried about the hazy night vision right after the surgery. It is improving as you said. It's good to know it will continue to get better over the next few months. I surprisingly am not having the up close reading issues I've heard other comment on. Hopefully it stays that way! I stopped wearing my night goggles so I will get back on top of that. Thank you!zszsx
  • @PapioRed
Had surgery about 8 hours ago and already doing great. Biggest thing is find a Dr you trust and willing to answer questions. Well worth it.

Great video I did lasik 3 days ago. I had a -5 prescription. So far it’s been life changing. I can see almost clearly but my vision tend to be a little blurry still. I’m also taking antibiotics/steroids, natural eye drops and an ointment drop 4-5 times a day. First 24 hours I didn’t touch my phone or use the TV. I haven’t left the house either aside from visiting the doctor for a follow up. Also where I live is extremely dusty, hot, and windy. I did start using the TV and phone though. It’s a little uncomfortable and I take breaks from time to time/use my eye tear drops. Im yet to return to work, or use a PC, and go back to my normal routine. They didn’t give me shields but sunglasses instead, I don’t have to sleep with them, and I occasionally use them indoors too depending on the light. Im impressed with the video though.. a lot of what you said is what the doctor said to me! Im hoping the blurry ness will go away soon though

Hi dr, what if we already used the screen time too much during the first week post lasik? And experienced blurriness and whatever you said in the video? Will it get better overtime?
  • @elmerescobar433
The trombone 😂😂😂 I’ve never heard that. Great video, thank you!
  • @Raphews
I would love to see a video of yours talking about PRK surgery. My eye doctor told me Its the best one for me since I enjoy playing sports and It has less chances of causing problems in the future. What is your take on this?
  • @matasdanisas8864
I've just had a procedure called iQ Lasik Oxygen 3D, I'm not sure what it means though. Had it on friday. Its Wednesday, the white letters on the computer screen all have bluriness, the vision is sharper, but no matter if it's day or night, computer graphics are blurry and vision does seem a bit off, like just after waking up
  • @Ben-lo7cy
I’d see a specialist before getting lasik to ensure you’re a good candidate. Went to lasik plus and it’s been 6 years and every day is hell. Places like lasik plus are just pumping people through for money. There’s two people that go to the same cornea specialist I do that were turned down at other surgeons and told by lasik plus they’re a good candidate.

i got lasik done one month ago, the surgery was quick and painless, you're going to get anxious bc you will be seeing everything but they give you pills for that. After surgery my eyes were irritated and couldnt open them (felt like i was chopping onions xD) also couldn't stand any sort of light, the best thing you can do its going to sleep. The day after, i felt no pain or irritation and could see clear with some fluctuations. The first weeks sunlight was annoying (i always had some light sentivity anyways), so just used sunglasses everytime i went out. Yesterday i went to the doctor and he tested my vision which now is 20/20, i have zero dryness, only thing i still have it's the halos around lights. If you can have the lasik procedure i highly recommend it, i was really scared before and during the surgery, but trust me when i tell you its SO worthy.
  • @MrRoadchaser
Had it 5 week ago left eye was likely undercorrected astigmatism remains and im devastated. Will continue to wait the next 5 months to see at 6 month appointment.
  • @MikeBMW
I'd get LASIK in a heartbeat if I were eligible. However, with severe keratoconus, I've been told my corneas are too thin. Sclerals saved the day and despite the pain in the neck regarding insertion and removal, they have been a game changer for me. I can, now, mow the lawn, sweat while road biking and not have to stop every 10 minutes because of the pain from the old, regular RPGs. As always, thanks for your vids!

I decided to get Lasik to correct my Long distance vision. Before I had it done, I didn't need readers. Afterwards, I couldn't read anything within arms reach but could see crystal clear at a distance. In hind sight, if I knew I just going to swap out one pair of glasses for another I wouldn't have done it.
