Hurricane Beryl was roaring toward Jamaica on Wednesday, with islanders scrambling to make preparations after the powerful Category 4 storm earlier killed at least six people and caused significant damage in the southeast Caribbean.

    Carriacou is completely destroyed. It looks like a post-nuclear landscape. Most properties have lost their roofs. There is debris everywhere. All green vegetation is completely gone. There is no power, or communications. The people only have limited food & fresh water supplies. Assessment of immediate & long-term relief is needed without delay. Jamaica, take deep cover. Cat 4 is no joke !!
