Do more videos like this, please. Your art history professor brought those works of art to life and made it more relateable. I especially liked how he highlighted those iconic pieces that are in every art history book.
  • That guy had me thinking. I've lived in NYC all my life and I've gone to the Met at least once a month for all those years. Some periods in my my life maybe 3 times a month. When the world ends I will be seated in front of my favorite painting and be happy. The MET is our precious possession.
  • @LittleHammer_
You can tell the professor is so passionate about the art and history represented here. Great video
  • @ActionKid
Need at least 3 days to see the MET because everything inside is the best 😃
  • @ZoeDelToro
if i HAD to take art history again, i would want him as my professor cause hes so passionate and has a satisfying voice to listen to lol
  • @LolaGeek
I've been to the Met several times over the years and there's still so much I haven't seen! Also, if my college art history professor had been this interesting and excited about art, I probably wouldn't have had to drop his class 😅
  • @Mrbeahz1
Wow! You and your art teacher could easily make this a one hour special.
  • @aptadpamu
I laughed when I saw the title...the MET in 2 hours. I've been there a half dozen times and have yet to see a quarter of what's on display. My favorites are the Frank Lloyd Wright room, Henry the Eighth's armor as a young man next to his at an older, more portly stage in his life. Finally, the musical instruments museum is a wonder.
  • @supernayaaa
I love the art professor, if i were in college I would totally sign up for his classes. You can tell how much he loves art by his enthusiasm.
  • I loved this video! I could listen to this professor talk all day. He is such an amazing teacher and brought out so many things I never noticed while visiting the MET. Thank you for this video.
  • @NormaGeli
A few years ago I said I wanted to visit every single room at the Met.... It took me 6 hours 😬 and I wasn't going slowly, some rooms I would walk in, stay for 5 seconds and move on. I had to split it into 2 days because of how tired I was. The first day I took 3.5 hours just for the first floor, and the next day I did 2.5 hours for the second floor.
  • @daxofw
I spent opening hours til 4PM exploring the FIRST FLOOR. I leisurely took a coffee break but was informed the museum will be closing soon. My SECOND FLOOR experience is all about running and photographing random artworks. I will return. I NEED TOOOOOOOO!!!! :)
  • @ingrid8994
Wonderful video. The Met is my favorite. As a lifelong NYer I’ve been there countless times and still have not seen it all. I try to go at least once or twice a year 🖼
  • @dogradsky
Listen, these videos are like a warm, comfortable blanket for me. I visited the city recently (saw the Met too!), and the city blew my mind because I've never seen anything like it. Priceless arts, a cultural melting pot, so much to explore. jondnyc and your channel are my favorites by far. These videos really transport me back there.
  • Phenomenal video. I am a member of the Met and also spend a few afternoons per month in those beautiful galleries surrounded by those priceless works of art. As a recently retired teacher in NJ it my great desire to get visitors to NYC away from Times Square and into museums like the Met. I always took my students to the Met and also to MOMA. Also it is good to know, especially in the hot summer that we have experienced recently, that the Asian art section is the coolest temperature wise in the museum. Also less people visit that section, so it is never crowded. It is a nice pleasant, quiet place to mentally regroup during your visit. Your former professor is a font of knowledge! Thanks for another great video filled with very valuable advice. De Elaine, la profe de NJ
  • Amazing video! 😍 just a little correction because i’m an italian, in Naples aerea the volcano that erupted is the Vesuvio, the mount Etna is a volcano in Sicily.
  • @ryan6600
What an enthusiastic professor. You can tell he’s extremely passionate about what he does ❤️
