Todd:
What may I do for you today, sir?
Stylish trimming of the hair?
Soothing skin massage?
Sit sir, sit.
Turpin:
You see sir
a man infatuate with love
her ardent and eager slave.
So fetch the pomade and pumice stone
And lend me a more seductive tone
A sprikling perhaps of French cologne
But first, Sir, I think
A Shave
Todd:
The closest I ever gave
Turpin:
You're in a merry modd today Mr. Todd.
Todd:
Tis your delight, sir, catching fire
From one man to the next
Turpin:
Tis true Sir
Love can still inspire
The blood pound to
The heart leap higher
What more--
Todd:
What more--

Turpin:

Todd:

Turpin:

I didn’t know I needed Johnny and Alan singing a duet until I did and now I can’t live without it
-
my most favourite song out of the whole movie. just perfect
-
Although it's not the stage production. Burton was right to make this into a movie rather than being a direct musical copy. The style of the movie, characters' grim personalities and even adding it's own little scenes (like Todd's death scene as the end) really makes this stand out as a remake adaptation being it's own thing. Love this movie.

Haha I was so shocked when i heard johnny and alan were going to be singing in a musical
-
One of JD's greatest roles! RiP Alan Rickman. We loved you in all that you did.
-
Who’s here after 12 years of it 😳
-
It never occurred to me that johnny is American amongst and English cast, and yet so effortlessly pulls of an English accent, a true testament to how talented he is
-
"It is all to clear what company you keep. Service them well and hold their custom, you'll have none of mine!" wow what a delivery!

Alternate universes are endlessly fascinating. Who'da thunk that old Grindelwald would have tried to kill Snape, but would then be coincidentally stopped by young Grindelwald?
-
This is the very first movie Johnny Depp ever sang in, and I'm glad this was one of the songs he sings. Their Harmony is absolutely pulchritudinous 🥺🖤
-
These 2 singing together is all we need to take the anxiety and worries away.
-
Yes perfect, this song makes me cry, because it reminds me of my wife, she was my proof of heaven ❤ and I know she's there now.
-
I LOVE HIS VOICE!!!!
-
I would love to go to my hair dresser and just spend the whole time doing a duet until they are finished
-
This reminds me of a short story from high school which was "Just Lather, That's All"... It's about a barber in the Spanish Civil War who faces a dilemma when Captain Torres (an enemy of the barber whose tortured, killed and mutilated many people) shows up looking for a nice shave... And the barber is needs to think about if he wants to protect his reputation and job OR if he wants to go the Sweeney Todd route with this situation and go for the kill while he has a razer to the captain's throat... Haven't read the short story in ages, but I remember it being pretty good...

Depp has a great singing voice. This track is one of my favs. I replay it dozens of times with my eyes closed when I'm my room during the silence of the night to absorb every sound.
-
Alan is astounding in this! As is Johnny too!
