In this video I give you my long term review of the Huawei Matebook X Pro (2018 version) after using it for exactly one year. The Huawei Matebook X Pro is has a fantastic light and thin aluminum chassis and packs some series performance under the hood and I would consider it to be the best ultrabook on the market!

Typing from my 2018 xpro, bought it new when it was first (and shortly) released in the US. Still holding up well and A LOT of features for the price. Aside from a little bit of heat when plugged in, it's still one of the best laptops I've spent money on.

Friend, which one do you recommend? Huawei matebook x pro from 2018 or normal matebook 13 from 2020?

Good review, thx. I bought Huawei Matebook X Pro (2020) for $1.625 about a month ago and I really like the notebook in spite of some of its drawbacks.

For the same price, what would be the better buy for photo editing and light gaming? The 2018 Matebook X Pro i7 with 16GB Ram, or the 2019 X Pro i7 with only 8GB Ram

Any idea why my Matebook Pro randomly gives the blue screen of death (BSOD) and needs to reboot. Other than that, it's been my daily driver! Bought mine in December 2018 for $1000 with a student discount and black Friday sale from the Microsoft store. Back when Huwawi was sold in the US...

I've had this laptop for about 1.5 years. This is a great laptop, especially with what you're getting for the money. Positives: Beautiful and very thin design i7 CPU, 16 GB RAM Great touchscreen display Fingerprint sensor embed in the power button Amazing back-lit keyboard USB C, thunderbolt, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB-a ports. Not to mention the dongle that has VGA, HDMI, USB-c and USB-a Doesn't really get too hot, or really make much noise. Only when editing video or other intensive tasks, as expected. Negatives: GPU could be more powerful. TouchPad feels cheap at times, although it works fine and I haven't had any issues. Just accidental touches on occasion. Hidden webcam picture/video quality is horrible. And the placement is not ideal. 1 MP camera is a no-no. Even back in 2018. Battery life is good. But it could be great. About 6-9 hours depending on usage. Standby time is very good though. Overall this laptop is great and I'm very happy with my decision.

Call me tinfoil hat but I’m pretty sure you should consider that laptop fully compromised down to the bios.
