3:12 I can just imagine them exchanging insurance details on the way down

The Allied Air Forces paint schemes from Overlord onwards were pretty baller when you think about it. They were like - we just don't want friendly fire, so we'll paint ourselves as recognisable as possible; we don't care about camouflage, we couldn't give a shit if you see us, of course you're going to see us. You'll just shit yourselves, we own the sky
  • The rudder stomp to keep guns on the 190 from 30 feet away was b-e-a-utiful.
  • @b2tall239
Anybody else here squeezing the imaginary trigger when GS moves into position for a kill? Or is it just me?
  • @toxaq
"I think 50 cal should do a little more damage than that" - Every DCS mustang thread ever, anywhere.
  • @simonwalker2400
that first kill all i hear is Michael Caine's voice from Battle of Britain "How many time have I told you - never fly straight and level for more than 30 seconds in a combat area!"
  • That kill on the D-8 was amazing, can't wait to try this out once the next sale hits. Great work on the mission GS, keep the videos flowing!
  • @DeltaLimaDelta
I would’ve loved to hear the conversation between the spitfire and 109 pilot that would’ve been awkward
  • @jefferynelson
Thanks for the work you put into this project. Your dynamic WW2 server sounds like a great idea.
  • @Myname-il9vd
2:57 some people will do literally anything if it means they get the last laugh in their head it’s quite incredible to watch when no ones in any actual danger
  • Love the WW2 content, way more entertaining to watch than the modern day stuff, just my opinion
  • @kelvaris1
Not only is your commentary awesome, you're flying is top notch. Thank you.
  • @Ghoster311
How did that fw-190 pilot bail out after having his canopy raked twice by .50 cal? He should have been extremely dead.
  • @Eleolius
.50 cals in DCS tend to do a lot less damage than they historically did. Yes, .50 cals are weaker than a 20mm, but 2x .50 cals are about like 1 20mm cannon, at about 30% less effective range IRL. So that 109 should have been disintegrated and lit on fire. DCS damage model does not model oil/fuel fires in planes nearly as well as it could, which doesn't matter much with 20/30mm cannons as they tend to use HE as the main way to kill planes, but it's telling with machinegun fire in DCS that relies on flames.
  • @SFDPSFDP
Pretty historical situation at the end, basically what the Germans faced in 1944/45 outnumbered 10 to 1 or worse in the air. That rudder adjustment when peppering the Fw190-A8 with .50cals was impressive, very surprised that the pilot survived and could eject.

My appreciation for WWII birds has been fully rekindled thanks to this.. i love it man!
