Recently Fabrizio Romano said that Real offered the same salary to Mbappe as PSG in 2022. He also said that his current deal has less money that he woud have had. Whit that guy's conections i tend to trust him on such stuff. If true his decision to stay was indeed not motivated by money.

This is all very funny and as a frequent viewer I understand comedy is always part of your videos but, just to add context: - PSG are constantly in cahoots with the French media to spread rumors about their own players, Mbappé being the main target. If you dislike Mbappé for reasons other than what he does on the pitch, I have news…; - He’s not some powerful “emperor” who somehow had the President of France and the Emir of Qatar “twerking” for him at 23 years of age. Him and his family were pressured and used as economical and political pawns; - Mbappé himself said on a press conference during the Euros that PSG flat out told him he would simply not play a single game the entire season, because he did not sign a contract extension. He was forced to miss out on the preseason tour in Asia, and made to train with a squad of players for sale, publicly called “the undesirables”. It took Luis Enrique and the sports director convincing that dictator of a president for him to be reintegrated into the regular squad. Even so, knowing he would leave and the club he was leaving for, there was an obvious attempt to ruin his form by benching him and jeopardize his start at his next club, and we saw the result, especially at the Euros. Apart from the coach begging for it, he also gave up another billionaire bonus PSG owed him so he would be allowed to play with the 1st team again. - Sure, he’s filthy rich and would still live a luxurious life without the bonuses PSG owed him. But he fulfilled his contract, so they should do the same. PSG don’t lack money, it’s obvious they only did that out of pure pettiness, that’s the point; - His original contract extension with PSG in 2022 was precisely until 2024, and he fulfilled it that contract. But during the announcement, they handed him a shirt with the year “2025” on jt. This was the extension PSG wanted this season that he did not sign. But it’s very obvious what they were doing. - Before that original contract extension with PSG in 2022 was announced, he contacted Florentino Perez before to let him know before anyone else. - He also sent a number of letters to PSG to let them know beforehand that he wasn’t intending on renewing his contract. In early 2023, also June of 2023 (when they created that unnecessary media storm around a renewal and banned him from playing and training with the 1st team). PSG sent a letter a month later saying he “lacked sincerity” (AKA, calling him a liar) and reminding him of everything they had done for his career - as if 2 letters explicitly saying you had no intentions of renewing, wanted to fulfill your contract and giving the club enough time to find a replacement weren’t enough. Early this year he let his teammates and PSG staff know he would leave the club at the end of the season, before the goodbye video was posted, and had a goodbye party with all of them. - Mbappé made that goodbye video and didn’t mention Al-Khelaïfi, which resulted in Al-Khelaïfi scheduling a meeting with him 1 hour before a PSG game, and a nasty argument with him screaming at Mbappé, delaying the team’s warmup. This was his last game for PSG at their home stadium, and I also believe there were very obvious intentions in stressing him before such game. Naturally, the teams energy was tense, and they lost the game, despite Mbappé himself scoring their only goal. There’s much more and I’m surprised that, as someone who claims to despise PSG, you missed out on such chances to trash talk them. I’m sure this PSG vs Mbappé story isn’t even over yet, there’s more to come. Anyways, PSG is an empty, greedy and manipulative club, and all they really have is just money. They lack everything else.
