a time when I joined a school military program. Bringing back the old days of Nam.. We were most preparing for war with candy sales and cafeteria cleaning duty

This military club sounds more useful than all my entire primary and secondary school education

The way she named all the instructors after seasonings
  • As an Army Veteran, the “extend to the left, MARCH” and then the yelling, had me laughing so hard I had to pause the video 😂

“i’d rather use my free time after school to do absolutely nothing at home.” literally this.

As a JROTC Staff Sergeant instructor, i can confirm that this is 100% accurate, the screaming, marching in rain or 90 degree weather, all of it, it was period 3 on day on a tuesday and the cadets had to scream out our company motto, my mind was like "RIP my friend having a math test next door" then we had to scream our guts out at PT. So this is more and accurate and great video.

I was in Air Force JROTC during my sophomore year and actually enjoyed it. It was pretty much how it was described here. I actually remember one of the last days of the school year, we were removing rank insignia and such from all the turned in uniforms while watching Full Metal Jacket. That was a good day.

As an Army vet, this was surprisingly wholesome to watch. If you ever pursue ROTC in college, please make a video about it 😂 You'll do similar stuff, but also throw in balancing other classes and doing field training every week. And instead of just wearing the rank in a garrison setting, you actually will takes turns in every role from a commander to a basic joe in simulated combat exercises. But you also get to do some cool random stuff too, like when my peers and I rappeled down the highest building on compass.

As someone in JROTC I love this, perfect portraying. Only difference is my branch is Air Force, so Monday: Drill Tuesday: Lesson/Quiz Wednesday: Uniform Inspection Thursday: PT (Squadron 3) Friday: PT (Squadron 1 + 2)

JROTC was one of the best classes I took in high school. Totally worth it. It's funny to see how the program is very similar in different schools all around the US.
  • I was in cadets at one point and in my experience there were three types of people in it 1: the normal kids who thought it was gonna be a lot less drill and a lot more fun activities 2: the kids who were there because their parents wanted them to stop lighting random brush fires and stealing bikes 3: the egomaniacs who just wanted to be able to tell another kid their age what to do. I quit when every time I went some kid/s would have a mental breakdown when we were on break.

I wasn't an JROTC kid, but I was in the royal canadian army cadets, and it's interesting to see how different it is between the ones with and without a king for a commander
  • I'm in JROTC it's great, especially on drill meets were you go against other schools and I might be crazy but I love inspection day!! JROTC is usually for high schoolers but I'm in the 8th grade since my middle and high school are right next to each other. I'm happy to answer questions you guys have.♡♡
