Discovering Tobago | A month in a hidden Paradise (4K)

Published 2023-06-23
Discovering Tobago:

Join me, Ricky Dunn, and my wife Nat, as we spend a month in the idyllic village of Parlatuvier while exploring the exotic southern Caribbean island of Tobago (Trinidad and Tobago). From picture-perfect beaches to the vibrant local culture, we delve into all that Tobago has to offer.

Highlights:

- Staying in the charming Tamarind House in Parlatuvier, surrounded by the beauty of this sleepy fishing village.
- Buying fresh fish daily from local fishermen at the jetty and enjoying delicious home-cooked meals from Joanne's kitchen.
- Taking private tours with David and Anna from Island Girl Tours, experiencing the best sights and sounds of Tobago.
- Exploring nearby Castara for its restaurants and the UNESCO-listed Main Ridge Forest Reserve for stunning natural beauty.
- Self-driving around the island to discover hidden gems, waterfalls, and friendly locals.

Whether you're an armchair tourist, seeking travel inspiration, or planning a visit to Tobago, join us as we explore this beautiful island.

About Us 👫:

We're an Aussie couple who gave up great jobs in Los Angeles to live a location-independent life and travel the world.

Ricky has worked in the tourism industry for many years and has visited over 80 countries, living in 4 of them! Nat is a master's qualified teacher who runs an online tutoring business. Together, we've been living a nomadic lifestyle since mid-2019.

We both share a passion for travel and love discovering new places. Typically, we spend at least one month in each location we visit, seeking authentic experiences and immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of the region.

Life Dunn Differently is our outlet to share our passion for travel and the lifestyle we've chosen to embrace, and we hope you enjoy seeing a little of our journey.

This was really nice. The mountain village community of Brasso Seco in Trinidad is another stunningly beautiful and welcoming community rich in local culture with nice and comfortable accommadation available. A bit more remote though.

I wished more tourists explored other local villages. Mesopotamia - Fort Grandy has such a strong history. Unfortunately, the current governing body decided to get rid of the Prime Minister's home that it's behind the the soccer field of Hope. The old military barracks, an old sugar mill was recently cleared of it's over growth, the old Saw Mill...... there's a wonderful beach cove, called Nacka in Mt. St. George that has a reef and a little area that seashells collects itself. I can go on and on.... Your video was tastefully done of my beautiful country. ❤
  • Though my eyes is dark green that is afro Jamaican and my dark skin is afro Jamaican. I think that tobabgo is beautiful and I have Tobago ancestry through my first name.
