I really like how nene just sits there because she enjoys both inflicting and receiving pain so the corruption is basically a win win for her

Okay it's clear that the corruption has something against Darnell and Pico.

I keep rewatching this and only now do I actually understand the capacity of how merciless the corruption is, Pico was completely exhausted, ready to give up and they still STILL sang an end verse.

Funny how even though tankman and his soilders are corrupted, but tankman still cares for Steve and pico, and lets pico continue his fight With his close friend Darnell in private space, some what similar to a father and son moment

Little detail: in day 2 when pico is almost fully uncorrupted, nene is still trying to kill him, maybe she was knowing that corruption will not allow to save pico so easy, and best option is kill him while they can...

With that pico bit showing him trapped it’s either that he is seeing a hallucination or that pico is still trapped and the corruption is controlling pico.
