I hope lex asks Volodymyr Zelenskyy his opinion on SpaceX's propellants and engine configurations.

Man, that "Young men who don't know each other, killing each other..." quote about The Great War cut deep. Today is "Armistice Day." Everyone should go read "Dulce Et Decorum Est" by Wilfred Owen.

WW1 Quote - "Young boys who don't know each other, Killing each other, on behalf of Old Men who DO know each other". Sad but true...

When Elon said that last part I felt like it was a scene of a movie

I understand Elon’s concern in general, but it is easy for him to be telling Ukrainians whether they should protect their homeland or not. Imagine around 15 states being annexed and occupied by let’s say Mexico or some other country, taking your citizens basically hostages, and some rich Ukrainian guy comes on TV and says: “Hey, fellow Americans, why do you keep fighting? Just stop the war. You’re losing the flower of your generation! Just let the aggressor have those territories, there’s not going to be much changes further on anyway.” I think Americans would rightfully shut him the f up.

Elon’s home country went to crab because people didn’t fight, and now he expects Ukraine to do the same thing. as Anthony Blinken said, if Russia stops fighting the war stops if Ukraine stop fighting, Ukraine ceases to exist.
  • Orwell said: When it comes to the pinch , pacifism is no more than a collaboration.

I'd suggest you, US guys, just give Putin Alaska back. Interesting, what would happened if during the WW2, we lessened to same "ideas" like Elon has now?
  • @DanielJanzon
There is already a deal. It is called the Budapest Memorandum in which Russia promises to respects Ukraine's border and in return Ukraine abandon their nuclear arms. US and Great Brittain enforces the deal. See how it went. Why would a new deal with Russia work out any better?
  • By the way the average age of a fighting Ukrainian in this war is 43
  • It would be interesting to hear an interview of President Volodymyr Zelensky and the presidents of Eastern Europe, Britain and France.

I would love to be able to find the book he recommended! I vannot find it for the life of me

WWI was involving most of Europe and trenches thousands of kilometers long with huge armies on both sides. In Ukraine while frontline is long, intense fighting happen in hotspots, and there rate of casualties are very high from artillery, that can't keep happening for years, one side will simply will not be able to keep doing this. It is very unlikely that the hot conflict in Ukraine will last longer than WWI (4 years, 3 months and 2 weeks) It would if it could keep the fighting going at the current rates till 2026 June. But let's wait and see.

Last time we had a great war on the continent, the invader wasn't stopped early on. This time it seems we have somewhat learned the lesson to not repeat the mistake. Putin nibbled on Georgia and Ukraine and we didn't do that much but at least we are doing something now to stop Putin attempting anschluss with the rest of Ukraine.
  • @Tubularjake
0:35 Such a genius, this man. Attackers suffer more casualties than defenders, because of defenses? Ty Elon.
  • @bebop4874
You can tell Elon has a lot of respect for Lex. I like that
