Vintage Montgomery Wards 25 pint Dehumidifier. (Made by Norge)

It is from the late 60's or early 70's. Most likely 1969 or 1970. It does have an automatic shutoff function that I forgot to show, but it is interesting how it works. I plan on making a video of that alone at some point in the future. It was made by Norge.

This one is pretty fancy. Mine has high to low rheostat for moisture removal but only on/off for fan. My folks used this in the early 60s in a very humid basement. Has been good since!

Awesome dehumidifier, these were built to last compared to new appliances.

I love the sound of an air conditioner compressor in action.  Several years ago, I lived in a basement apartment and I would run a dehumidifier 24/7 and I never got tired of the sonorous hum of the fan and the compressor working.  Even though the dehumidifier put out heat, in the middle of the summer with the dry air and the coolness of being in the basement, I was happy with just a fan blowing in my face at night.

I love the sound of that compressor. I've never seen a dehumidifier with a constant fan.
