Yes Vaginismus is real and I'm so glad she talked about it. I've had people tell me that the pain I experience is "in my head" and that I need to "push through it" or "toughen up" but that's so unfair to invalidate some else's pain. It's incredibly painful and makes any kind of intimacy very uncomfortable and hard to do. It personally makes me very fearful of getting close to someone cause I feel that they'll see me as "broken" (been called that a lot) and like I "don't have anything to offer" (which isn't true, sexual intimacy is not the only thing a person can offer or needs to offer). But in my own experience it's very debilitating and I'm glad they brought it up cause a lot of people don't know about this or don't actively talk about it.
