When i was in high school, my friends and i used to walk to Joseph's pizza for lunch. All of us used to get a slice of cheese pizza. That was back in 83. Now its 2023 and i still go there

I've been to San Pedro a zillion times and didn't know any of this. Thank you for this video.

Los Angeles did have a little Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น it used to be where china town is now. And right over the bridge in Lincoln heights had a booming Italian immigrant population and canโ€™t forget San Antonio winery and the old Italian market/deli thatโ€™s still there!
  • Yeah San pedro born and raised baby! Joseph's bakery is one of the last old school shops still open just like busy bee.

San Pedro now has an Italian Festival, every year in October! So awesome! Hope to see it continue to grow!

That shrimp at the end, best I've ever had! ๐Ÿคค
  • You guys missed a Few GREAT hot spots! La Boca Feliz, Raffaello Ristorante, Nikoโ€™s and Big Nicks! And that Marabella Vineyard shop next door to A1 market has been there of 80 years selling wine and supplies to make your own wine.
  • @marktreston2982
Great video. A few more places to consider are Raffaello Ristorante, Nikko's Pizzeria, Bonello's New York Pizza and the Original Giulliano's Delicatessen in Gardena.

Next door to A-1 is Marabella Vineyard where San Pedro Italians go to buy our grapes and winemaking supplies. The best place right under your nose and you missed it. It it located in a section of town known as Vinegar Hill cuz every home used to make their own wine. They literally share a wall with the A1 Market.

My grandfather was from Caccamo, Sicily. His farm was not in San Pedro, but nearby in Downey. I live close to San Pedro and buy my Italian groceries at A1. So happy you made this video as I was unaware of the other restaurants you featured. I now have a place for arancini, which I have been trying to find locally since visiting Sicily years ago. Grazie!

Awesome video. Well done. We go to San Pedro a lot. We love it there. The new waterfront will be amazing. Kudos to Councilman Joe Buscaino for spearheading the revitalization of San Pedro. Next time, please include Sorrento's Italian Restaurant too.
