Am I the only one who finds it satisfying when something gets instantly rebuilt rather than when it was first built

r/place is the perfect community project, every so often you see a massive wave of pixels (like the meteor, the void) which shows that even bots and griefers are uniting (and that communities will recover anyways). It doesn't feel like one pixel every 5 minutes is that much but when you see the end timelapse of a consistent amount of effort that's actually a frick ton

It’s beautiful to see the small bits first, such as - Genshin slowly becoming Sexshrek - Mr Incredible becoming a monster - The German flag border being fixed
  • I've said it on reddit, I'll say it again here. Watching this time-lapse of r/place is like watching an ant colony at work. Sometimes I wonder if we humans are secretly a hivemind, and we just don't realize it.

My favourite is scrolling around and seeing all the smaller, less noticeable pieces, like the Pochita, P03 Stoat, Mug Moment, Gabumon and Katana Zero

I'm so happy that XQC's attack on r/place amounted to literally nothing. His community left NO mark on the canvas that I can see, and for that I'm eternally grateful

During the second part, in the southeast of the second canvas, they did the Minecraft loading screen, then a creeper, THEN the explosion effect and finally the game over screen with the "respawn" button. You are really crafty, miners.

Germany has an unreasonable amount of real estate and somehow no one's messing with them

i find it incredibly wholesome how the gd community immediately made a memorial for Michigun and no-one touched it for the entire time lapse

The "He laughed" with Gol D Roger was such a monumental One Piece moment. I'm just glad it was here :')
  • “ENOUGH!” followed by the void mother coming into existence out of frustration after the canvas expanded 3 times.
  • @jJustBrad
the most fascinating part about all of this has to be the void, its just so insanely interesting to see it constantly erasing things and popping in and out of existence
  • @omnivex9504
Michigun’s tribute is amazing and I love that people left it untouched it really shows how great a community can be - best way to find it is centre of the screen at 1:00 btw or far right at the start by the 2b2t logo

This was a wild ride, thanks to EVERYONE who helped (even if it was just an alliance) with maintaining the several Deltarune characters we put on the canvas. Almost all of them survived until the end and got to see the snow for the first time in their lives! I hope everyone has an amazing day!

For the past 3 days Canada is still trying to finish the leaf. constant griefers turning the maple leaf to a marijuana leaf and in one point it even turned into a banana at 1:35. Currently one of the best memes of r/place

The fact that X was able to drastically change the board so chaotically and be able to organize the chaos with that much people is impressive. I feel sad for the smaller communities that stood no chance against the chaos but at this point it's not even a "community project" people get together to make something wholesome, it's basically a battle between bots and is actually kinda sad. Takes the authenticity out of the equation.
