North Korean weapons tests have become so common that they're often dismissed as empty threats. But with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un newly emboldened, another conflict with South Korea is no longer off the table. We're used to seeing missile launches from North Korea and dismissing them as empty posturing. But Kim Jong Un’s rhetoric has changed. And arms trade with Russia seems to be emboldening the North Korean leader. Is it about time we took him seriously?

A user has made us aware of an error in a world map shown in the video at 12:55. The map of Russia cuts off part of Siberia and wrongly shows Crimea as part of Russia. Crimea is part of Ukraine and was illegally annexed by Russia in 2014. This is shown in the map at 13:21. Thanks for pointing that out!

A solid video but it’s obvious the clickbait title was thought up later - no strategic or tactical reasons given as to why a war sooner than we think is actually what he wants
  • @user-hp5jl9zRKO
He probably feels left out, everyone else is at war and he’s not.

Send Kim a large supply of McDonald's cheeseburgers and some fries. Should calm him down a little bit.
  • The Ukraine war has allowed North Korea to sell its old outdated missles, rockets, artillery, ammo, and firearms to Russia. So that they can replace their stockpile with brand new ones. Plus it gives them insights into how their military equipment works in a war setting. So the war has been heavily benefiting them.

Last week went to S.Korea. Spoke some locals there. 90% of them says conflict between NK and SK is just media hype. NK knows if they attack SK they know the end game.
  • @railgap
Why was everything in the NK map room blurred? Were there naughty pictures in the map room?
  • @BlueredCatalan
North Korea is not interested in a war with the USA or SK. They launch rockets and make threats but they are not interested in a war. North Korea acquired nukes to guarantee the survival of the Kim dynasty. Starting a war would mean the end of the North Korean regime, the very thing the nukes were supposed to preserve. If however, the US or South Korea launch a preemptive strike on the North then they would use their nukes as a last resort to try and save the regime. North Korea is a poor country and nukes is what makes them relevant, that's why you constantly see launches they want to be in the headlines. They don't want to be seen as an insignificant country somewhere in Asia. If it wasn't for Nukes Kim would never have been able to negotiate with Trump and North Korea would be a forgotten land stuck in the 1950s.

6:00 you know you’ve been looking at satellite images of North Korea for too long when you recognise the images showing on the news

That Russian Limousine looks a LOT like a Chrysler 300, with a bigger grille.

Why you do not update edit the video, just the comment will not cut it, or explain it on the video content section under the title.

I think how far and how deep the cooperation between North Korea, China, Russia and Iran will go will also depend on the behavior of the cooperation between South Korea, the United States and Japan. One point worth mentioning is that China is North Korea's ally, not just a political ally, but China and North Korea have mutual defense treaty, if anything happens to North Korea in the future, China must help North Korea.

It's amazing how how one single family with only a few members can entirely dominate the population of one small country.....in this day, and age for so long, and completely unchallenged.

The real life 1984, North Korea, is a fascinating place. Being born in North Korea has to be one of the worst pieces of luck on earth.
  • @YayoLife
No one wants war more than someone with over 200 wars in 200+ years of existence.
  • @aayanansari1000
Either no one should have nuclear weapons or everyone should have it.
  • @-Z-Bros
The most scary part to the US ; North & South Korea to reunite
