This definitely feels like a sequel is necessary but I doubt it will happen or ever

Super high production values, not the greatest writing. Certainly a few steps up from The Asylum. Enjoyable! π€© Bonus points for not hitting on the nose with Arthur C. Clarke, and for avoiding unnecessary technobabble. CGI has sure come a long way. Terrific.
