Unless you live within a narrow path just 118-137 miles wide in the U.S. — which includes Albuquerque and San Antonio, but no other major cities — you'll see just a partial solar eclipse. Stretching from Oregon through Texas in the US, and on to central and South America, the sight of a ring of light around the moon will be visible from a slew of U.S. National Parks and International Dark Sky Parks.

WARNING: People should always use protective solar eclipse eyewear when viewing a solar eclipse.

I was at pier 7 in Norfolk Va. in 1970, for that Solar eclipse. It was so cool to see it go dark; all the sea birds landed and went to sleep mode, the sky was very clear with no light pollution because in those days' lights were manual or on timers, the sky was so beautifully filled with stars, you could see the corona, and after several minutes there was like a bright yellow diamond ring in the sky, 53 years ago and you can never or would you want to forget.

You all are so lucky here in Czechia/Central Europe we had the last full eclipse around year 1700 don't know exact year and the next one will exactly be in 2135 year which means I have to travel to see it one day...😢😅
  • Guy just wanted to be quiet and staring and admiring everything around “let’s take a minute [or an hour] to be quiet” wrong place to ask for that buddy 🥴
