It's funny cause you mention not being able to separate Wolverine from Hugh Jackman, which is true cause he's been Wolverine so long... an even MORE impossible task is when Ryan decides to hang up his Deadpool thong cause he quite literally born to be that character.

This movie felt like an saturday morning cartoon filled with episodic adventures with deadpool and wolverine in the best way possible.

To be fair, there is a "fan moment" that plays with the notion of Hugh Jackman being replaced one day that a lot of fans - and even Deadpool himself - seem to be rather receptive to. You can tell that I'm trying to avoid spoilers, but it is a fun moment that is a clear wink at the audience.

I'm so glad that a certain character was responsible for revealing Logan's backstory. It acts as a tasteful bridge between Logan and this film.

The last 8 years of constant apocalypses is worth it to see Jackman in costume.
  • Not really a spoiler: Did DP really join the sacred timeline? I know he had an option to leave behind his timeline and join it, but he ended up saving his own and staying there. SO did DP really join the MCU?

I'm glad the big cameos used were actually important to the storyline. They felt like characters not just "hey look it's that person".

Whats great is that if we never see these versions of Deadpool or Wolverine again, its fine due to how it ends. Theres no tease for another movie or further appearances and I like how this ended

I think this is the 5th time we got to say goodbye to the Fox Xmen unvierse after Days of Future Past, Apocalypse, Logan, and Dark Phoenix. 6 if you count Last Stand. The little montage at the end is simple but feels like the most definitive end, even if it probably won't be.

Fox-Marvel tribute at the end credits was gut wrenching 😢

Chris Stuckmann: “it feels like a really heartfelt embrace of everything that fox tried to with a lot of their superhero movies“ Deadpool: “SUCK IT FOX! I’M GOING TO DISNEYLAND” headbutts the camera “GET FUCKED”

6:58 "Even the Joker now has had multiple successful incarnations..." Jared Leto: True. So true.

Deadpool and Wolverine was honestly really great and enjoyable imo, and definitely one of the highest points of the post-Endgame MCU so far. Rather than just being a multiverse-hopping cameo fest, which it is to a degree, it feels like a love-letter to the Fox Marvel films in general and both shows respect and care for it as much as it also makes fun of it. This also has probably some of the best directed action scenes I’ve seen in an MCU film as well, with the last fight scene in particular being a definite treat. There were some minor issues I had (I do think the new Logan’s backstory could’ve been explored better, rather than it just being told and not shown to us), but overall it’s the most fun I’ve had in theaters all year and I’m largely considering seeing it again.

the thing I came to like about Ryan, is that, he does NOT NEED TO MAKE MOVIES. He is so rich outside of acting it's insane to why he stays around to act. Yet he does, and has carefully looked after the Deadpool character for many years now. It tells me, Ryan really does just want to make good DP movies. He came to the MCU understanding what these characters mean to Marvel fans, and knows how to give us what we want in a good way. I never lost faith in Kevin Feige, but having Ryan come over and Hugh is just outstanding news for Marvel fans.

Sadly no one ever can replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine ... he's the GOAT as the character
  • @lorcan8484
all the audience went bonkers during the scene when Morbius appeared and say "It's Morbium time"

Jackman won a Guiness world record for longest played character. There were more specifics but it's still amazing. Edit: looked up the specific record. It's "longest career as a live action Marvel superhero" as he won it in 2019
