The rules were as follows: all 20 of the selectable 'online' tracks were played out in order, from Figure-8 Circuit to GCN Yoshi Circuit. Items were used freely. The first player to reach 11 track wins is crowned champion.
We are both playing on original Nintendo DS hardware with a USB Video Capture Board installed - no emulation is used whatsoever. More information can be found here: 3dscapture.com/ds/
