She has Indian roots and that will always be there. The fact is she is American by birth. Her loyalty lies with America which rightly it should. Moreover, she is married to white American which is the reason she is getting this particular chance. And lastly, for sure as permitted she may help her people/community. Nothing wrong in helping. lol people leave her alone. Let her enjoy this moment with her family.

Indians are good wishes for every one. I used to live in India with my family for six months.

When an Irish descended person did well in USA they always acknowledged their roots in Ireland and visited their ancestral village too .I hope the Indian descendants do the same and feel connected to their roots in India .

Indian Americans are Americans first and their loyalty is to USA and Ofcourse the affection and well wishes will always be there to their ancestral land but loyalty is to America. Stop having any expectations beyond that. I say this as an Indian American.
