Episode 12 - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders

Joseph beats the Empress and throws back to his younger self in JJBA Part II. Of course I don't own, want to own, or have any plans to weasel my way into owning any part of JJBA. This is merely uploaded for the pleasure of everyone to see the full scene since no one else wanted to upload that. JJBA is owned by its respective owners, and I highly recommend this to anyone as one of the best anime of all time.

And no one cares that you read the manga, take that crap somewhere else.

"once your opponent starts to boast about his victory, he's already lost" - Joseph Joestar, while boasting about his victory
  • That fucking smile when he got up to his old tricks and predicted his opponents words for the first time in years is the kind of shit that allows me to get up in the morning.

It pains to see him become senile, he was so cool, probably the most fun loving and entertaining JoJo of them all

Its a shame we never saw Old Joseph do more of this. Out of all the crusdaers, he got the least solo battles. Sun should've been his victory, and he probably deserved at least one more

Love how he used the "your next line is" again.

As much as I would have liked him using "Your next line is..." more often in the series, the fact that he only uses it once makes this moment extra special.

“Stand can be only defeated by another Stand” - now that’s what explains why Joseph, who fought and defeated powerful Pillarmen, struggles when fighting against Stands. Because Joseph didn’t defeat Pillarmen by just himself, he uses his surroundings and different things such as Tommy gun, clackers, strings, that one well next to the base which held Santana, plane, red stone of Aja and volcano, but he never actually utilizes just his pure power. Meanwhile, Stands can’t be affected by those things, and Empress, taking a physical form out of flesh, is just an exception which allowed Joseph to fight in his way.

3:12 I love this scene cause both ACDC and Kars boasted about their victory before Joseph had his last minute upperhand, and while Wamuu didn't boast, Joseph kept his respect for Wamuu
  • Joseph: "I guess I just get better with age" Part 4: "I'm about to end this man's whole career"

"Once an opponent starts to boast about his victory, he has already lost" boasts about victory

Fights like these are my favorites in all of JoJo, where the solution makes perfect sense but is just outside what the reader would expect. Using spirit photography to make a map of the town was such an intelligent idea and being able to make use of said map without it being an instant win is a mark of good writing. Araki has always been a genius when it comes to making use of terrain during fight scenes, stuff like the electrical wires from part 4 and the icicles from part 2 are prime examples of how Araki can create an interesting mechanic and make use of it in a coherent manner.

Joseph will always stay the most iconic and best Jojo Protagonist You can’t change my mind
  • @pacman10124
Have you ever been so smart that you outsmarted someone who outsmarted you?
  • @StarPogginum
You can use a single line from young Joseph to describe his entire fighting style: "You may have out smarted me, but I outsmarted your outsmarting!"
  • @devinnall2284
I wish he used Hamon more in this part. I know it's not super useful against anything other than the undead but, he should still be able to climb up walls, manipulate organic matter, and walk on water which are all things that would have been incredibly useful in different fights.

This is just how JoJo fights are. The protagonist got outsmarted by the villain but then the protagonist outsmarted the villain that's outsmarting him but then he got outsmarted again by the villain but then the villain got outsmarted again by the protagonist and it was all the protagonist's plan
  • @notorioushkm97
Your next line will be: I wish Old Joseph did this More Often!
  • “You’re going to say “stop, anything but that”” He said it! HE SAID THE THING!
  • @tardarsauce1842
I love how most of JoJo fights are just people outsmarting each other rather than "who has the better strength" in other shonen anime
