All these modern 'screenwriters' think they're so smug and clever. Somehow I'm expected to overlook all the unlikely and implausible events and then read this idiot's mind at the conclusion. The curse of the blank ending seems to permeate so many of these less professional movies. These 'writers' need lessons.

here's an idea: if you're gonna write a crime drama, make sure you left your mom's basement for at least a couple of weeks out of your adult life. ALL the "base criminality" in this flick is shockingly ignorant of actual crime. this could well have been a creative writing project of a pre-teen sunday school class in farm country. why, oh why, would you do a "cold transfer" between boats on a lake? a DIET PILL ring... really? "i turned to a life of crime to pay off the fertility clinic"?!? no, just no...

At first I thought they were selling drugs but then what do you need a dealer to sell weight loss pills for and meet in the middle of a lake then when the sheriff came to talk and the guy talks to woman who murdered those men since when does murder become a option for selling weight loss pills seriously these people hiding from the law for weight loss pill acting like their big time drug dealers this almost seems like a joke to me bunch of town people in a small town acting like a weight loss pill is a major drug acting like their really breaking the law my question is why meet in the middle of a lake to buy weight loss pills then bring the box in a building in front of a group of women and places them on a table out in the open why all the secretcy and hiding but bring the box in front of everyone makes no sense seems like they could have did all that at the local gas station

Good movie. This is in the realism genre, so don't expect a Lifetime movie. Don't watch if you lack an attention span.

I love the fact that the private detective isn't all that fit or handsome. That's SO truthful! Most of the excellent ones aren't either. They are just incredibly intelligent and hard working. Good job on this "touch". (Too bad he didn't wear a protective "cup"!)
