I have to say that you are an amazing human being just for the fact you're tacking your time to record, edit and draw to show us. I get tons of motivation after watching your videos and idk how to thank you deeply T-T thank u so so much for this

ive been drawing for ages now, but since i started my animation degree, i noticed a massive improvement suddenly in my art. It was a bit strange, because i really didn't purposefully change anything about my process that i knew off since starting school, until i just watched your video!! what i was lacking before was draftsmanship, and at school i've been focusing on quickly getting assignments done instead of fussing over every detail, which inherently made me improve my draftsmanship a lot!! i never knew what this was called before!! the rest of this video is extremely helpful aswell, thank you!!!

SO MUCH GOOD INFO packed into just 47 minutes. Wow. Thank you SO much for sharing you expertise in such an accesible way. I've never been more excited to take a photo, break down the shapes, then trying to draw those shapes in different ways.

Disclaimer ! Draftmanship comes in many forms/ stages of the art process. Also don't get discouraged if you arent able to draw clean lines all the time !! As our mood changes, so does our drawing process. Also when we are learning we often draw more sketchy until we are confident. Regradless keep going, and your own process / style will speak to you.

Oh god. Thanks for explaining that differently angled objects have different, but similar vanishing points. This is the thing that always gave me trouble. I used to try to make cubes in perspective and then try and fit say another cube in there. It is a way, I suppose? But it's so unnecessary and it only killed my motivation. So yeah, huge thank you for this video, and specifically thank you for not trying to edit out every mistake and using them to show how to fix common mistakes, like in the perspective rotation example. It can get really discouraging when an artist draws everything on their first attempt and you have no clue how to fix the mess you've made while being a beginner and trying to follow the tutorial!
  • form is such an underrated topic to cover, i'm so happy you made a video about it

hi! so i discovered you with the avatar portfolio video and was super impressed by your thought process and technical skill. this video popped up in my feed so i watched and wow, it’s late now (so i won’t draw rn) but i know next time i pick up my pen i’ll do your assignments! the way you explained things and put theory to practice… the sole fact you explain everything in comprehensible bits is amazing. thank you for making this available for free! i do not plan to make a career out of art, i do it for fun only, but for years i’ve thought that bc i wasn’t born with natural skill, that i would never be able to make good art. your tutorials might make me change my mind, and i thank you for that! keep making such helpful, useful content. take care 🫶

I have been drawing for a long time and struggled with it for a long time. The whole thing about being a good draftsman really changed my thinking that already I'm seeing a difference in my drawing. Thank you!

Yo - I've been struggling with form forever. I love how you explain it and give solid examples of how to practice and get your brain to actually think in forms. Thank you for that! I think most folks talk about form in terms of shading, or how important it is, but don't really go into the detail that I need for my own brain to understand the steps I need to take in order to get from where I am today to the artist I know I can be. Def love this video for that.

I was having a really hard time drawing anatomy in perspective and this video made me realize all the parts that I've been skipping. When you went to the form part of the video and you told us to imagine what the object would look like in a different perspective. I was really having a hard time imagining it. Thank you so much for all the info and recommendations you told us to do. Will definitely recommend this video to others. New sub here! ♥️♥️

I am studying this fervently, thank you very much for the incredibly valuable information. you are helping me think more clearly and draw what feels to be more authentically, something I feel I haven't been able to do for months. I am excited to learn from you and study more of your videos, I have been skimming through them daily and have chosen today to really sit down and focus on what you're saying take care and I hope to see whatever more you have in store for the community, you're great!! 🍉♥♥

Thank you SO MUCH for these videos! I bought the full course and I've been watching lessons while I cook dinner. Something about this is just clicking where other instruction hasn't.
  • @TaurusVibez
What great timing :o I'm hyped to take notes on these videos and then entire course itself. Thank you! 😆
