I like to think that at 5:45 that wasn't a part of the script and he was genuinely mad
  • Elmer's story is actually really sad. His mother was probably impregnated by her cousin when she was 16, so his uncle adopted and raised him. When he found out the truth, that his 'father' was actually his uncle, he went deep into alcoholism and then there were a mass string of deaths in the family. Criminal or not, it seems so unfair for him to have been disrespected so much in death.

I've had to tell my boss some weird things, but I've never had to explain to them that the mannequin we've been keeping hanging from an attraction is a real person. That had to be a hell of a conversation.

i’ve literally never heard Amelia Bedelia acknowledged by anyone online or in real life. i can’t express how validating it is to not only hear her acknowledged (i.e. not just a fever dream i had when i was 7), but to hear that someone shares my pure, unadulterated hatred for her. i don’t know what exactly bothers me so much about that woman, but she royally pisses me off for no reason. seeing her head in a waffle iron was honestly therapeutic. thank you for this.

The first story reminds me of what happened to Floyd Collins. He got trapped in a cave. Rescue efforts got a huge amount of media coverage and the area essentially turned into a carnival with people selling souvenirs and food. Floyd eventually died. His family were able to get the body out, embalm it, and give Floyd a proper burial. A few years later the family fell on hard times and the cave and land where Floyd was buried got sold to Dr Harry Thomas who PUT FLOYD IN A GLASS COFFIN FOR DISPLAY. He used it as a tourist attraction for a cave. One time, the body got stolen and was found in a field with a leg missing. The family eventually managed to get Floyd's body taken off display & put into a cemetery, >60 years after his death.
  • Apparently the guy who created skeletor went to the exact funhouse ride mcurdy’s corpse was in and it inspired him to create skeletor. So mcurdy is indirectly responsible for skeletor
