The Confederacy and the Civil War lasted 4 years, and people demand they're remembered, while slavery existed for 246 years, and the same people want it forgotten.

As someone raised in the south and proud to be from the Ozark mountains. Schools shouldn't be named after brutal evil leaders that lost the wars they wrongly waged.

Considering they just replaced a statue in Arkansas with a statue of JOHNNY CASH, I don't think it's too hard to find alternatives to racist traitors from the Civil War that are also endearing to everyone in the South.

Anything named after a confederacy general should not receive federal funds: schools, roads, monuments. Any military base named after a confederate general should be closed.
