**IMPORTANT NOTE** You have to of completed "Defiance Has Fallen" to get technical data to appear. You can trigger this mission by easily going over to Abby's Bunker.

I use Technical Data as an XP bank. Once I hit level 100 on the choreboard, any TD I find just goes into the stash box until the beginning of a new season. I've had great luck with finding it at Mononga Power.

The enclave lab under transmission station 1AT-U03 and the robco labs are also nice spots to farm technical data👌🏻

Wow! Did not know it was actually used for something. I thought it was scrap notes or something, luckily I've kept all the ones I've been finding.

I do hope Bethesda eventually patch it so you can get multiple rewards for handing in multiple technical data. I don't have the patience to give in that many files individually. Oh, and I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure the BoS paint I got for my T-51b power armour was also a drop for this mission.

I wear my science scribe uniform a lot. I was really disappointed that you could ask Scribe Valdez about becoming a scribe but never getting to.

I remember doing this run a lot, I would get 50-60 per run and I would turn in one at a time, apparently since this mission counts as a side quest, the drop chances for rarer items can be affected by Charisma, according to the Fallout 76 Help Section, everytime I boost my Charisma to 40+ UNY and food buffs I would get a minimum of three T60 paints and 3 or 4 Shielded Lining plans

I got the elder paint doing this farming method almost 4 years ago. I just sell the shielded underarmour plans at a small premium because of time. 5k-8k depending. its STILL the best way to power-level.
  • @KaptainCnucklz
Thank you! I actually didn't know where to turn them in, and only figured it was a quest thing because of Fallout 4 having an identical misc quest with Proctor Teagan. This answered that quest AND told me what I might get in one video. :)

You can also find technical data near Vault 76. It’s in a safe inside a small destroyed house down the hill NW.

I'm so glad I've been collecting these! Love the outfits & power armor paints!
  • @whimgarden
Great tip about putting it in the stash box before turning in the data. Thank you for this video, I'd been meaning to look this up for a while!

me and homies used to farm tech data back in 2019 through to 2020, we used to have a complete route from sugar grove all the way down to watoga and then jump server. ive turned in probably well over 1k tech data throughout my 2.5k hours in game. still turn it in today even though theres no possibility for the pa paints anymore, just ammo and outfits.. good times
  • @zachy427
The event Test your Metal will also help level up in the BOS to get the rank PA skins.

I have found that regardless of location if it has round filing cabinets, you can get tech data from it. I generally get most of mine in west tech. up and down the elevator killing everything that moves, before I finish I generally have one from each cabinet so...14 a day I think just in west tech. I did 100+ last time there was double xp and wound up getting 3 of the shielded plans and I think 4 of the first power armor skins, (I am building them up to sell a few now and then)
  • @Ichigoxmango
Even when I don’t need this information I still watch all his videos
  • @jonathanmoon3854
You're a bloody savior mate 💯 I may have accidentally taken ALL my tech data recently & tossed it into the wall without remembering to do 1 at a time 🤷‍♂️😅💀 Great Video Mate 🤘
  • @ademason3096
Useful thanks, have a load and didn’t know what to do with it, so going to spend some time like you did handing it over, cheers.
  • I’ve been playing for close to a year and a half and I never knew wth these were for 🤦🏽‍♂️ I’ve been holding onto hundreds and always wondered what they were for. Appreciate YouTube recommending the video finally!
  • @Gudamangipo
I had zero clue what this stuff was even for. Awesome!
