Vaishali has a very big advantage having a chess playing brother in Praggnanandhaa, says Humpy. Koneru Humpy is the first Indian woman to have become Grandmaster. She was in Toronto to participate in the Candidates tournament, where she finished second. She talks about motherhood, women's chess in India and her predictions for the World Championship

  • Koneru Humpy, after her prodigal talent, has been disappointing. Her inspiring achievements to Indian women chess is unquestionable. Just saying that even with time, she did not become the best in the world. Of course, the Chinese women are the best, but Koneru did not even dominate the US and European women and got beat when it mattered. Vaishali seems promising like Pragg.
