Small Town Monsters heads to the frozen vistas of the 49th state with On the Trail of Bigfoot: Last Frontier. The first 2023 Small Town Monsters docudrama features in-depth interviews with locals and a heavy focus on the Indigenous peoples who first called the land home. Focusing on evidence and encounters with the legendary Sasquatch, On the Trail of Bigfoot: Last Frontier aims to give audiences the most cohesive look at Alaskan Sasquatch lore.

On the Trail of Bigfoot: Last Frontier was shot over several months in the Alaskan wilderness, concurrently with upcoming Small Town Monsters projects Land of the Missing and Bigfoot: Beyond the Trail: Alaskan Coastal Sasquatch, to be released later in 2023. Each production will take a different look at the lore of the monsters believed to be living in the snow, offering the most comprehensive view of the evidence.

Audio evidence presented includes eerie recordings which seem to capture a baby crying deep in the remote, coastal regions of Alaska, along with numerous howls, whoops, tree knocks, and more. The baby-crying audio is particularly unnerving as it has been referenced numerous times in Alaskan native lore as being a tactic employed by Bigfoot to lure its victims into the woods.

Alaska might not seem to be the ideal locale to search for Bigfoot. With its frigid temperatures, hard-to-navigate environments, and endless acres of wild lands, the quarry (in this case a hairy, ape-like creature) would neatly fit into the needle-in-a-haystack analogy. Yet, despite all it has going against it, Alaska does appear to be home to the hairy hominid. Hundreds of eyewitness reports, dozens of intriguing footprints, audio samples, and even video, seem to show that the creature known as Sasquatch is well at home in the land of the midnight sun.

The main topic of Sasquatch is always interesting but I also enjoy the scenery, the visuals and description of the area being discussed. Thank you for conveying the spirit of Alaska for those of us who will not likely ever see it in person.

I really can't express how fascinating these films are. In my opinion they're among the best to be found anywhere on the web. Well done all concerned.

I agree 100% that the key to really understanding Bigfoot is in the Native American experience. Many years ago I worked with a woman of First Nation ancestry. The subject of Sasquatch once came up in conversation, and she told me that when she was a little girl, there had been a Bigfoot sighting in town near to where she lived in WA State. She was very close to her grandmother, and asked her about Sasquatch. Her grandmother told her, "O, we don't bother those people. We have lived with them a very long time. We let them be, and they let us be." I’ve never forgotten that.

Can't wait to see this but I'm going into the Cherokee forest tonight and tomorrow night to the area that I heard two bigfoots sierra sounds on each side of my camp one night for hrs

The only possible thing more amazing than researching Sasquatch in that area is that scenery! I know the camera probably doesn't do it justice, but the awed look on Seth's face a couple of times conveyed a lot! Keep up the great work STM!

Hi Fred!👍🏼😁🌎☀️💙 I agree with the verdict that the species exists. Makes me wonder why we even need the government to say so. Thank goodness for people like you guys that we are warned and to be aware of our surroundings when we are out exploring.
  • 30:41 - Research Fail. Juneau was established as the capital of Alaska in 1906 when the government was transferred from Sitka. It's the only state capital that borders a foreign country.

Excellent quality - from the editing to the narration script. I could watch this stuff all day. Easy subscribe.
  • That chap who had been fishing, I believe him 100%. No one prepares you for this, most people dont ask for these encounters yet they have to live with it for the rest of their lives! Its clearly affected him so much. You dont get emotional like that unless your reliving something traumatic. ❤️

Sasquatch don't wear gloves so of course their hands would show signs of manual work! I have no doubt at all that these beings exist. The mystery of them though is the best part, so kind of hoping they stay well hidden. Great film!

Looking forward to hearing what Fred from Alaska has to say, he’s a BOSS 👌🏽💪🏽
  • @phinehasfenne
Wow, that guys testimony was pretty incredible, It’s hard not to believe him! I’ve never seen a big footage experience that was so emotional before.
  • @IronDogger
Excellent work STM! Thank you for covering Alaska and Alaskans in such a professional and respectful manner.

I've known these people exist since I was a little girl, and saw the Patterson/Gimlan film. Parents said "that's ridiculous", but I absolutely disagreed. To me, this planet just gets more interesting everyday! Happy New Year everyone, and be safe, but always enjoy yourselves!!❤✌
  • I love your videos. I'm watching this video. Someone else probably already said it, but though Anchorage is by far largest city in Alaska, it is not the Capitol. Juneau is the Capitol. They've tried to move it to Anchorage a few times for better accessibility to our government, but it is always defeated. Juneau isn't accessible by road, only boat or plane. So it's hard to get to our government face to face. Not ideal. Thank you for your programs!
  • Had about given up watching the hiking/camping vids you’ve been doing. Thumbs up on this informative one. Thank you. Enjoying it👍🏻
  • 30:45- state capital of…Anchorage? ^_^; (state capital is Juneau) I do love y’all’s videos tho- and as someone from Juneau, it’s always wonderful to see Alaska’s raw beauty and wonder portrayed in such a beautiful and respectful manner. Thank you for another amazing video!
  • This is a well done documentary film. Great job with the video footage. I can see why people get captivated by Alaska's incredible beauty. It's amazing. Covering the subject of Bigfoot, I think that you all did an evenhanded, fact based investigation. No hyping of the subject or no ridicule either.
  • I live in Knoxville TN and go trout fishing in the Cherokee national forest around the Bald River falls area and the green cove campground area and have seen and interacted with a family unit a few times. I've had them come to within 10ft from me and have given them my fish. They are so beautiful and i thank God for giving me the honor of seeing them up close. I will never try to take a picture of them. I will never tell the exact location they are at, but I see them Everytime i go now because they must remember me giving them my fish. This group is very friendly to me and always show themselves to me. Some things i will keep silent about our interactions together. They need to be left alone, they are not an animal they are a people and have a language.
