Reigen is the only one here with no psychic abilities but he is the most competent person here behind mob

I love how Reigen realizes it's possession, not because of any powers as he has none, but because he knows the human psyche so well that he was able to pick up on the inconsistencies in her story and pull it apart with them.

you could tell by the look on his face in the room, he knew she was acting. all his skills points are in charisma, he knows an act when he sees one.

I think that scene is really well made. When Reigen started saying that everyone is wrong I didn't know if he actually thought that its a spirit or if he was just trying to get money from the rich guy by pretending to be on his side.

There's some interesting aspects to Reigen's character. Scenes like this make you wonder why he didn't become a psychiatrist or therapist. But I wonder if he's not helping more people by presenting himself as a psychic, letting people who are victims of their own mental illnesses come to him, then solving their problems without the resistance an actual therapist might deal with. He can help the victims from within their delusions rather than needing to first break them or convince them they need help. Regardless of whether that's intentional or if I'm just looking too far into it, he knows what makes people tick.

Reigen might not have any psychic power, he might behave sometimes selfishly or stupidly but he is a genius also

Reigen noticing what the possessed girl said such as Papa and then Dad afterwards is such a good observation. Even thou the anime portray him as someone who would chase profit, but he's still the type of person who would put so much effort in his job. Such as using common sense that other Espers failed to use because of relying too much on spiritual powers to sense a spirit/solve a case

Watching this scene back, there's a lot of things Reigen likely picked up on, like how she says she doesn't know why she's locked up in there, but also says her father thinks she's possesed

I'm not sure if I'm right, but since Reigen only said he might use paper or scissors, everyone assumed he would pull rock. So they all used paper and Reigen won with scissors.

i absolutely love how Reigen is literally the only one without supernatural abilities but he's the one who figured out that there was something wrong with the girl. Because other relied too much on their psychic abilities (I guess the powerful evil spirit might've been doing something to prevent the psychics from detecting the energy).

Let’s try and break this down for a second as to what she’s displaying. First and foremost, she’s too calm at the beginning. Not even saying she’s panicked, she’s holding a composed front this entire time and that’s what makes her come across as very sane. She sounds very reasonable, competent and put together. She’s too composed for somebody like this, and it’s too apparent that she’s created this and practiced it to be ready to convince whoever the next person was who stepped inside. The words, the events, everything that was said was well chosen, and Reigan can tell a good actor/con artist when he sees one.
