It never ceases to amaze me just how detailed we can get when brocading while tablet weaving. This reproduction attempt was really fun to do! Although I am already brimming with more ideas for other projects.

This is INCREDIBLE. How delicate your work is! How wonderful and beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing your work with us.
  • I have been making vestments for my church, and they can use 15 or more meters of trim like this. I am just amazed at how time consuming it would have been in pre-industrial times to weave those quantities!
  • what an amazing video, i always enjoy these. i am sorry for your loss, Enya lives in our hearts.
  • @sonipitts
So sorry for the loss of your beloved Enya - thank you for sharing that lovely tribute to her with all of us. And what a beautiful piece you wove! It makes an absolutely lovely addition to your time-traveller kit. No risk of the temporal locals mistaking you for a mere peasant now.
  • I just began warping a Dublin dragons pattern on the inkle loom, so I was super excited when I saw the subject of your new video. Oh my goodness you used such incredibly fine and delicate thread! What a beautiful finished piece. Thank you for sharing - always enjoy whatever content you are putting out!

Brocade tablet weaving is terrifyingly slow... I don't trust myself to pick the correct threads tbh so I will just admire this. The white and gold combination is so pretty and delicate!
  • @karlahovde
I think this might be your most beautifully filmed video yet!
  • @susansontags
The running sequence and that final shot are absolutely stunning!! Not entirely convinced you aren't a time-traveler :0) Beautiful work, as always!!
  • Yes! A new historical weaving video🤩 Brb, just need a cup of tea while i watch 👏
  • @Clubkidknitter
What you just demonstrated is absolutely magical!!! ❤

Tablet weaving is an incredible skill. I like yarn crafting, mostly knitting, I definitely wanna try weaving, but tablet weaving is just a wholly different league. I didn't even know it existed before I found your videos tbh. Absolutely amazing.

The fact that this is brocade too, the suffering😭 I'm trying to weave a brocade trim too (with scrap yarn because I already knew that I wouldn't like it, since it's my first time with this technique😂) and it's so painfully slow! My respect

Astoundingly beautiful. Oh my goodness. The Dublin/double dragons pattern (here in the US for whatever reason I see “double dragons” listed as the pattern name a lot) is my absolute favorite, too. Incredibly beautiful! Something about the white and gold color scheme makes me think of beautiful, ethereal elf weddings in a fantasy Tolkien-esque world 🧝🏻‍♀️
  • As always, I am totally amazed by your brocade weaving! Absolutely stunning! 🇨🇦
  • There isn't much to say that hasn't been said already, but wow. One cannot but appreciate the attention to detail. Such a beautiful ribbon! Having lost a cat friend during the end-of-the-year holidays, I send you much love. It's amazing how much love fits into a small purring friend. They are indeed incredible creatures.
  • You are so talented and so encouraging thanks 😊 so much take care Katy
  • @emib4600

If I didn't already wanted to learn tablet weaving, your video certainly makes me want to try!
