Void has been the best distro I've used. Been on it for about two and a half years now.

Void enjoyer
-
This is my first and my go to distro! Great to see it getting love
-
Just have to say that that is a sweet background
-
i've benn an Arch/Artix user for 15 years , tested Void few times, i really like all of it, besides software avaible , i know there are flatpacks , but i try not too, can u make please a video about configuring pipewire for recording videos, fresh installed void needs some tweaks so i think it will be my next longtime distro

idk what to feel about the package manager. is it any good? how recent are the packages, especially dev packages? do they support 3rd party repos?

Hyprland and Plasma on Tumbleweed.

based
-
is it suitable for novices or average linux users?
-
I just wish they had encryption in the installer
-
I would use it as well but for some reason I find the people behind it a bit shady
-
Nice basement-dweller voice, you sound like you browse 8ch while wearing programming socks 😊 Why not Artix, which is Arch sans systemd? Or, if you're feeling particularly adventurous, Gobo?

i have the same fealings but void dont have many packages
-
runit is not only the easiest init system I've ever seen, it's also the fastest. The only problem I find in Void is it's using that crap called elogind - but then again, most (not all) non-systemd distros do the same. Personally I'd go for a distro that isn't infected by crap like systemd, pulseaudio, and elogind, But if you are ok with elogind, Void is an excellent option.

Long live Void. Void is purpose. Void is life. Void is love. Void is mind. Void is truth. Void is happiness.

NEVER !!! I WILL ALWAYS USE NIX
-
Newer promising Linux Distros pop up everytime, and then a few years down the line no development, support or even a way to reach the developers. Ugh.. still sticking to the major ones.

I installed void linux on a proxmox vm. I updated it weekly, until it no longer boots. Now I call it de-void.. 8o)

Void not even having systemd is a dealbreaker for me, honestly. I can't consider it seriously as a distro until they add it

>got memed into it from an imageboard Yeah we all know which imageboard lmao.
